I purchased these pans because of great reviews and the size range. Nowhere in the description does it mention that hard andonized aluminum is not for high heat. I am sadly disappointed as it now take 13 minutes to boil water. Everything else is great!! Nice sizes great feel in my hands just wish I would have known the recommendation on heat

I purchased this set after a lot of research. 15 years ago I rec'd the same set of pans as a gift and needed to replace the skillets as the finish had worn off. Discovered that this is the "new model" set of the original set I had, which I have been so very happy with. These appear to be of the same quality as the 1st set I owned; the pans are a bit lighter than I expected, but the original set was almost TOO heavy (think cast iron heavy here)

 Make sure you season the pans as instructed and things should be fine. I do see some light scratches on the non-stick finish and I ONLY use the recommended type of utensils in the pans..

.. so I hope this doesn't shorten the life of the skillets (this is why I gave the set 4 stars for quality and overall instead of 5). Time will tell

  Same with the next smaller size fry pan.  Other pots, saucepans still in good condition.  That said, the others are used much less often.  I've had the same problem with the ceramic finished pans by Tramontina

Really nice and very non-stick, with one drawback

I selected this set because of the variety of saucepans available. I have a set of Wolfgang Puck cookware which I actually prefer, but they are similar to those. The only thing I've noticed that would keep me from giving a wholehearted 5 star rating? The lids are not vented and they give a 'ping' as they heat up. They haven't broken or come lose from their settings, but it does make me a bit wary that they might

 The lids fit snugly and the pots and pans are heavy-weight material. They conduct heat well, and clean up beautifully.

Set was delivered promptly and well packed, however, while unpacking and inspecting individual items we noticed the nonstick coating was peeling away from at least one pan-- not a good sign. The coating is extremely thin and obviously not durable. The set was returned to our local Sam's Club for a full hassle-free refund.
