Mühle Companion Unisex Razor Shave and Review 4K

So I’ve been shaving with a safety razor for a couple of years at least, and overall I enjoy it. However, the one thing I can’t stand is how there’s always some blade sticking out of either side. The reason is because when I’m shaving certain places on my body, it can scratch me.

Are there blades that don’t have this short edge overhang design?

With double edge safety razors, is there always going to be a bit or blade overhanging on the short sides? I’m a woman shaving my body and I don’t like it, lookin for new options.

 What I did not count on was taking a 1/4 chunk of skin off the back of my head. I used my electric razor on my head for the next 10 days giving it a chance to heal before making another attempt. The second head shave went better but not great I have yet to get a nick free shave but I'm not giving up just yet. So far I can't say the quality shave is any better than what I was getting with a cartridge razor

Over the past couple of months I've been looking into "wet shaving" using a DE safety razor. When I read the description about MÜHLE Companion being designed for entry level as well as being suitable for head and body shaving I finally pulled the trigger.

I've had far better shaves with those than cartridges, which gave me cuts and clogged all the time. Good mild ones to look into would be the Gillette King C (which you can get at most local stores these days), Merkur 23C (I had that one myself — no cuts!) or the Muhle Companion. Also, safety razor blades are really cheap, about 20 cents per blade.

alright so im pretty young 31 backwards (pls don’t ban me i actually need help) and i shave down there with a gilette razor. whenever I do so i cut myself a ton and it hurts really bad. Also should i ask my dad for more razor heads/a different razor bc i use the same razor for my crotch and my face

If you look at the image, the way the razor is designed - the lower part of the head has a bumper that goes so far out that only very small parts of the blade are available. On too of that, you can only use it one way. I ended up spending maybe 20 minute just trying to shave my underarms. I even tried changing the razors, but still no use

This razor simply doesn’t work.

If you're not in the US, then look into longer-handled razors for easy reach, such as Muhle Companion, Merkur 23C, Merkur 38C, etc. Shaving.ie is a good store to look into if you're in the EU, Executive Shaving if you're in the UK. For other locations I'd have to check, because again, waking-up brain

Over here, I shave with a safety razor. Sure, the blade may seem scary at first, but if you pick a mild one to start with (Merkur 23C, Muhle Companion, Henson, etc.) you won't cut yourself as long as you are careful and don't apply any pressure. That said, I really recommend you shave only with the grain at first, trying a second against the grain pass only once you are comfortable and confident in your technique

I've typically keep my private area shaved, but not so much around that area (vulva) because I am scared and I have gotten cut before, so definitely scared. I really want to try to shave everything bald and able to maintain it clean and smooth (basically just like the lovely ladies at /r/shavedpussies).

How should I go about doing so? How to keep everything nice &amp; smooth and hopefully no risk of getting cut?

If it matters, my area down there has the labia majora sticking out thing (not the one that completely sucked in) - I dont know what it's called, may be that makes shaving harder?

After a bit of digging round reviews settled on this based on its reviews for ease of use and 'mild' shave. I also really like the more modern design a lot of double edged razors look like they've plucked straight from a 1920s bathroom. This is certainly a sleeker more modern design.

My one problem would be the spring loaded cable. Basically it can (sometimes) rattle which can cause a bit of nerve whilst shaving thinking the thing might fall apart. But it doesn't do it all the time, but would prefer a magnetic or even screw alternative.

Shaving with the razor (coming from cartridge razors) is a bit of a learning curve but once I got the knick of it, it felt great. Like a lot of the reviews the shave is mild but very effecient and probably the closest shave I've ever had without any irritation.
