 I've been using it quite often, probably three times a week. And the nice thing too about it is it's got a good weight to it because it is stainless steel and it's got a butterfly open design. So you twist the bottom right here and the top opens up like that so that you can switch out your razor blade when it gets dull for a new one and it does come with a pack of five replacement blades, which is really nice, has nice side grips for you to hold and this is very thin and very sharp, so you have to be careful when using it. And then it just slides back in, nice easy replacement and you twist it back shut so it's nice and tight and you're off to the races

 So the idea behind this is that it's only a single blade, so you're only passing a single blade over your skin one time instead of a three blade or five blade. So I actually found it made a big difference when I switched over to this and I really love this. I've been using it quite often, probably three times a week. Sample pack just came in, Do you guys agree with the selection I chose? Which do you think I should start with?

Any big supermarket in the UK sells Wilkinson Sword branded shaving soap and brushes - they’re absolutely fine for the price. They’re also selling DE safety razors as well but I have no idea on price or quality - probably fine for a few weeks.

I&#39;m going to be staying for a month in the UK and won&#39;t be taking my razor so I will be getting a razor and a brush to use there and for future travels. I&#39;m going for something under 40 pounds in total.

I&#39;ve looked around on amazon and spotted some candidates: -DE8 Edwin Jagger for 15,33£ and - Omega Shaving Brush (<a href="https://www.amazon.co.uk/Omega-Shaving-Brush-Synthetic-Fibre/dp/B07CY533WT/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8">Link to the brush</a>) for 13,12£.

I&#39;m pretty confident the razor is a solid choice however the brush is definitely trickier. If you&#39;ve got any suggestions of cheap synthetic brushes or a different razors I&#39;d appreciate it. Thank you.

You can shave everything with a safety razor. But I wouldn’t recommend the wilkinson sword razor, it’s has a very long handle and I found it pretty rough.

I'm a guy with a lot of body hair, like, a lot a lot. Especially for my age. It's quite thick and in high quantities. And it's only getting more thicker and in more quantities in more locations.

And honestly, I don't like my body hair. Appearance and comfortability wise. I usually shave it with a 4-5 blade razor, but it takes me 2-3 cartridges for my whole body since they wear out quickly and it can get pricey. I'm considering practicing with a DE safety razor for my face and my whole body.

Do safety Razors work on the whole body too? Or just the beards?

And when I mean the whole body, I mean: Chest, stomach, armpits, whole torso, hands, forearms, biceps, shoulders, thighs, pubic area, balls, butt, below the knees, back.

And how many razor blades on average will I have to use and what would you recommend for me as a first timer? For either face or body?

Can I shave my whole body with a DE safety razor?

 I bought mine at Aldi on special. Struggled with it for a while and then moved it on. Upgrade to a Karve with E plate. My daily shave takes 10-15 min

Whenever I shave with a safety razor it always takes ages. I go over an area and it's still not properly shaved so I do it again and again. It takes me about an hour to shave and it's so annoying. I shave every 4 days, but lately I've left it to a week because I've been feeling apathetic towards shaving due to this reason. 

I was shaving today and after my first pass I missed so much hair. In response I got my cartridge razor out which I haven't used since the start of the year and used that for the rest of the shave with the exception of a few missed areas. 

I can't see what I'm doing wrong. I've been shaving with a safety razor for 1.5 years, I've used lots of different blades and I've seen plenty of videos on techniques and so on. 

Maybe it's because I have a cheap razor, but I can't see how that would really make a difference. I also use perma-sharps which are supposed to be the sharpest blade, or at least one of the sharpest. 

I use a cheap Wilkinson Sword razor. In terms of the quality of the shave it's basically perfect. No ingrown hairs and very rarely do I get any irritation. 

It's annoying because safety razors are cheap and very good for the environment, but I think I may need to go to cartridges which means more plastic waste, more expensive and ingrown hairs. I've just got one ingrown hair now from using that cartridge. 

Sorry to go off on a rant. I love shaving. I love all the different artisan soaps, creams, how economical it all is and so on, but this one aspect is ruining it for me. 

The part I hate the most is the prevalence of ingrown hairs. That's gonna ruin my face, but what choice do I have?

I'm getting really sick of safety razors.

Wilkinson Sword Plastic razor, mild and efficent shaver excellent for the beginners and people who shave daily, very  good quality of the material (cost about couple of bucks all with pack of 5 Wilkinson Sword Germany blades, pretty much the same quality like Feather). Nivea Shaving Cream Protect And Care, Sensitive (excellent performance for the price).

Some things just aren't worth the price for the supposed performance increase, sometimes buying the cheap option gives you a high P2P ratio. One example is Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, almost everyone uses it because it's cheap but it's performance is exceptional for the low price at $5AUD, meanwhile Proraso Aftershave Bam is $22AUD and while the performance is good is it worth 4x the price?

What shaving items do you think have a high P2P ratio?
