 2. One of the units is failing in a new and different way. The AQI for the room is reporting as zero even when the air is bad. Because the AQI reports as zero, the automatic mode turns the fan off and so the air never gets cleaned up

 I'm afraid it's time to buy a different air filter  Note to support:  I bought three units from you and all three of them failed. You sent me replacements for two units and one of them failed. I have done many, many, many tests at your request. Frankly, I tired of this

 I'm happy to give it 4 stars is they help me fix it. I do like it when it's working! This boot failure happened for 2/3 unita.  August 16, 2021 Update Support was helpful and replaced the two units that would only boot to diagnostic mode. The new units work well

Sadly, this product disappoints

 Miele'S performance is noticeable every time when i start cooking. If we turn on the oven or if we burn an incense, stick in the house, miele quickly detects that there are particles in the air and that the air needs cleaning. So it will start working hard to try and clean the air as quickly as possible to test miele's performance on video. We'Re going to do what i like to call a trigger test, and this will demonstrate how the air purifier gets triggered by the air quality

 This is a little hard to demonstrate on video because everything will sound louder than it actually is, but even when the air is clean, you can still definitely hear the air purifier fans working [, Music ]. The app definitely needs some polishing. It constantly has connectivity issues and says that the miele unit is offline or it is out of sync. The information shown in the app is not always the same as the information displayed on the miele screen when it comes to cleaning the miele air purifier

 They have an on and off switch and a speed setting. But the creators of miele went a few steps ahead and made miele a smart device which in 2020 is a must, and it also has a stylish beautiful, symmetrical design that will fit well into most homes. Miele can work as a standalone air purifier, but it is a smart device, so it can be connected to wi-fi which will unlock new functions. Miele also has a color screen on the top, which displays the current indoor and outdoor air quality index, as well as any warning signs

 The basic touch controls on top of miele, allow you to switch between automatic and manual modes as well as adjust the fan, speed in manual mode using the plus and minus buttons. When it comes to filters, there are many different types of filters that you can get for miele and i'm not going to cover all of those in this video. If you want to know more about the filters, the miele website does a fantastic job at explaining what each filter does so make sure you check that out if you're looking to purchase your own miele unit, the filter that i got was the basic breather as the Primary goal for me was to purify and clean the air in the room and also help me reduce the dust particles. Now i don't have any fancy tools or scientific methods to measure miele's performance

It's only "set it and forget it" if you are OK surrending control and choosing between a few settings for common use cases.  The sensor accuracy is seriously in question, as I'm comparing with lab quality particle counters and sensors. We have very high CO2 levels when we cook in our small apartment without opening windows, but the Mila barely registers a spike where all my other test equipment sets off hazard alarms

 An air purifier, even a good one, is not going to turn my house into a 'Cleam Room'. It also doesn't always respond when it should, only seeming to react to PM/AQI and NOT VOC, even if it's own VOC sensor detects something.  Lastly what good is a smart device that doesn't have Alexa/Google/Siri integration?  Could get much better with software improvement depending on how much of what I'm seeing are limited by the hardware.

A Lot of Promise, but Much that Needs work

 Contrast that with my Dyson, and I've NEVER had a problem with it. The iOS software is straightforward and fantastic, and while it's funny, I'm not joking when I say if I fart in the room, the Dyson always automatically turns on and starts cleaning the air. So the Mila has been a big waste of money for me as far as I'm concerned, and I'm going to just buy another Dyson because it works amazingly well and has a great app.

This air purifier works well at filtering air, but not much else. I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the Dyson air-purifier I've had for several years in another room. The Mila has been a big disappointment, technically speaking. More often than not, it loses the internet connection (even though it's right next to the Wi-Fi router), and I have to restart it

Good filtering, great concept, but software/firmware is buggy

Compared with these running in some rooms and the Mila units in others, the Mila filters are still very clean after 3-4 months, whereas the Air Oasis is very dirty. They need replacing far sooner, and the air pull is much stronger. The air smells fresher in the units.

 I live in Central Oregon. It's dusty here. Yes, the fan turns on when it detects something but does poorly in filtering. It's simply not strong enough
