 Hey y'all, iRickSky here and I want to do a review of the Chamberlain MyQ after installing it and using it for a few weeks and you can expand this video's description and then click the link there to find where to order it online and also subscribe to my channel and check out my Chamberlain MyQ installation video to see how simple it was for me to install it here on my garage. So you've got this piece on one of the top corners of your garage and then we're going to step over here and I'll show you the other piece. And the other piece is just a little power plug and it's got a sufficiently long cable and it runs to this thing that says Chamberlain MyQ connected, that's it. This communicates with your garage door opener, it doesn't matter, I mean everybody's garage is different, you know you may have it on a different side of the garage, I just put mine kind of in the front and you know perform the installation, it was a super simple one person project, you probably need a ladder though so you can access your garage door opener during installation, but it was super simple, it works great and one of the things I like about Chamberlain MyQ the most is that even if I don't open or close the garage door with my app, it still keeps an audit trail

Just enhances peace of mind and also if you need to let somebody in your garage, you can send them a link and let them access your garage door by way of the MyQ app and it's also got the Amazon in-garage delivery capability, I like Amazon a lot but that's probably a feature that I will probably not choose to use, but if you choose to use it, that's another value add of going with the Chamberlain MyQ

Chamberlain myQ Review

 Considering the different operating environments and variables, it’s a challenge to cover all the bases. Unfortunately, a quick start guide simply isn’t enough in this case and the online instructions are no better. They have made some assumptions about what you need to know (or don't need to know). The above precautions should be spelled out to avoid customer frustration and reduce the number of calls to their help desk (and returned product)

  The good news for me is that after 2 months of trial and error and multiple calls and emails to their help desk, I think we may finally have all the issues cleared up. My fingers are crossed.  Now you know everything Chamberlain should tell you but doesn't. Best of luck!

 If you’re not positive, call or email them with your make and model numbers in hand. Mine is a Craftsman (Chamberlain) made in 1999 with the door sensors so I was good to go. NOTE: Garage door openers have a limit to the number of remotes they can support. My Craftsman supports 4 remotes

Finally, like other garage door remotes, if it loses power you might have to re-program the system with the garage door learn button

 Now time to locate the program button on my garage door opener so you will need a ladder to do this. In one of the sides of the opener, I have a yellow program button which I will pick from the app. Press and release the yellow button to start syncing it with the MyQ hub. And it is paired
