The most comfortable pack is typically the one with nothing in it. 😊 Under load though, from my  collection it'd be the Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 24.

Looking for some recommendations. i find myself not really caring about aesthetics as much as i thought. I just want a VERY comfortable EDC backpack i can use as a "personal item" when im flying or when i just need to carry a bunch of sh\*t. i prioritize carry comfort over anything else. 

So, if you have owned a bag once upon a time, or now, and it's carry comfort sticks out to you more than anything else please name it here. Need a bit of guidance here guys...

the MOST comfortable backpacks you have ever owned (20L - 26L)

 when loaded down, no matter the amount, I couldn't get the bag to be comfortable. I am a broad shouldered gentleman, and I had consistent shoulder pain after carrying the bag for half an hour every time no matter what I had loaded. I messed with the load lifters and all other straps and couldn't get it to work for me at all.  I may try the 24 to see if it works better, as the bag seems a little taller and wider, but as of now I can't give a full recommendation for the 21

 very easy to access everything in the bag -the suspended laptop pocket, side interior pockets, and top quick pocket are all great and easy to use  But the bad are what made me return this; -no exterior water bottle pocket(though, not that big of an issue) -bag is definitely heavy on its own vs others of this size -no dedicated hydration port -mesh doesn't breathe as well as I hoped, so if you get extra sweaty, maybe not for you -most importantly, and while I could forgive all of the other shortcomings before this, the harness system breaks this bag, at least for me. the bag seems super comfortable when I first tried it, after testing it for a week, it isn't for me. when loaded down, no matter the amount, I couldn't get the bag to be comfortable. A couple of shortcomings keep this from being perfect

 You can also fit like a large tablet on the inside. I'Ve just got like yeah my keyboard on the inside there and then laptop here now, one of the things i like. Let me just pull that laptop out, so you can see and then i'll just show you quick [ Music, ] kind of the amount of frame sheet. That'S here so decent amount, and it just feels sturdy

 If you don't have it fully packed. So, just something to note on that, because i have this top part pretty loaded, so the top zippered pocket here i'll just open that up and show you what i have inside a little key clip there. Hoodie set that to the side as well laptop stand here, set that to the side, and i just want to give you an idea, kind of of the interior organization, so really nothing going on in this main pocket here, but on each side, we've got these two Little mesh pockets similar to the top here so just want to show you what i have in one of these really big anchor battery bank. It can affect the ability - whatever you have in here, can affect the ability of this material to curve around nicely

 You'Ve got a hoodie in there pouches and maybe like a packing, cube or something it's going to be hard to access this front pocket from the back it just is. I mean you can really kind of fillet and get it open, but it can be a bit hard to access, so that's definitely a gripe with this bag, but yeah large tablet pocket there and then laptop pocket here. It doesn't look like a 15 inch. Macbook pro would fit, but mine fit in here, just fine, it's a little tight

 Saved some money by getting my No Escape order cancelled too which is a plus I guess. Overall the straps are super comfortable and the size is perfect for everyday.

 There’s maybe 2 usable stow compartments and if your needs are exceeded then it’ll wind up on the bottom of this bag. The zippers are stiff and after six months of moderate usage they are still stiff. I will still purchase MR products because I love the quality but next time I will have to do some more research.

I really wanted to love it but...

 I'm not gonna say cheap because it's well made bag. It's definitely an affordable bag that you can use for day hike mode and make potentially your everyday carry depending on what your carry is like. But uh, for me, it's uh, it's not a good bag for everyday carry. It's mostly gonna be day hike mode and that's why it's awesome

 Why? Because it's so comfortable in day hike mode. Because of this strap system and the way it's designed, it's very very comfortable. Very very secure in your back. So it is going to be probably my day hike mode because I think it's a way more comfortable bag

 Mr. Ranch bags for quite a while now as their just features are pretty unique and they've done a couple carryology collaborations so this one was a great fit for a test bed and so super comfortable. Super great! Probably day hike bag for me because I like a lot of the features. A lot of access to internal gear but for Edc probably not going to work

 For me, it doesn't work because of the lack of extra features to get those quick access uh, laptop, ipad, or other technology things that are in and to be honest, even to get to these pockets, it's just kind of awkward to get to them because it just doesn't open clamshell. but that's that's my thoughts. My primary use for this bag is going to be day hike mode because I don't typically use a lot of the items I don't take technology I won't have my ipad with me normally when I'm out on a trail hiking so I would use this bag because of just the nice and easy features and plus it just feels so great on the back so you'd be able to carry definitely layered clothing, maybe a dry pair of shoes in there and then snacks and hydration would all fit in there. One thing that is not included in this bag, which is be probably the number one negative if you were gonna use this bag is the fact that I don't there's no way to route hydration out of the main compartment to get it to, um, the exterior part of the bag unless you just route it out outside the corner of the zipper and just left it hanging out there

 So you have the full 21 liters this one you lose a couple uh, depending on how much water you need to take with you. And there is no um, there is no pass-through For those of you that like to hike and uh, use your your water port systems, there's no pass-through for that in this bag at all. You could, maybe I don't know, you could cut it if you need to. Uh, but not the recommended bag for that kind of carry

 let's see what we can fit in here because this would be a pretty sweet daily carry if you ask me. So opening it up, we have laptop sleeve. Um, so for the most part I don't really carry my laptop around with me. I don't need it, but it is a 15 inch and that will fit in without my case
