  Since my original purchase, I've ordered 3 Amazon Basics USB-C cables and all of them worked flawlessly (on both of our phones). I've requested a full refund from Nekteck and recommend you to stay clear.  Update 3/6/19 - Nekteck has issued a full refund so I have updated my review from 1 to 3 stars. While I personally will not wait for a working cable, the company has demonstrated effort to rectify the issue and someone with more patience may have better luck

 Using a cable I already owned and the same charger reproduced no connection loss. I'm beginning to wonder if they have an entire batch of bad cables they're selling and then immediately replacing once someone complains.  Update 3/5/19 - Nekteck reached out to me and offered a replacement cable. I was appreciative of that and ready to increase my review rating once the new cable got here

 Didn't need to send the broken one back. Good customer service.  Same situation with the cable being thick and difficult to bend, but this one is harder to pull out and noticeably more flexible. So far no more issues after testing it for a couple months, including both a flight and a road trip since I use this cable for a battery bank to keep my phone charged

 Connectors aren't bent or obviously damaged in any way.  Replacement cable:  Company reached out and sent a replacement cable. Didn't need to send the broken one back. Good customer service

Worked for a few days, then needed to be bent or held at an angle to charge

 I'm quite impressed so far at the quality and bang-for-the-buck of Nektech products. Hopefully they don't jack the prices up.

 I've used it with a nektech power brick to charge up my phone, an MSI GS66 laptop, and a Surface Pro 7, and it has worked fine. Also used it to connect a USB-C compliant hub monitor, which worked. this might a good choice as value for money. I'm just a customer so don't know this is really made as exactly same as certificated thru usb if, in any case the quality seems ok. i dont know why the c type connector is slightly un-tight for any C female connectors so it makes a little warn in my mind. Hope this cable is really supporting 20V5A DC

Overall, the cable is good and works as expected. The cable is not terribly flexible, however, which may make it difficult to use in some cases (for example, when traveling). It's unclear how much you can flex this cable before damaging it. That said, it's working good as a semi-permanent install on my desk
