 There's also no carbon plate in the shoe, it's simply your good old foam. It's a neutral shoe and for me this is coming in around about just over 310 grams, completely identical to the outgoing model. Really nice weight there, not too heavy but also not too light, just feels at the right amount of weight for a shoe in this class. There's an 8mm drop between the back of the shoe and the front of the shoe and also I'd call this quite a plush but responsive ride

 So that's it, just a slight couple of tweaks there with this redesigned upper and with the heel area of the shoe as well. So guys, should you go out and buy this shoe? Well, I have really enjoyed running in it. As to be expected, I got this out of the box and I just kind of knew you put it on, it's super comfortable straight away. You know it's going to be a fantastic shoe

 It's slightly more breathable up at the top here, but as I say, apart from that, there is nothing that has really changed. Some fancy new colorways that look really nice as well. *** Update: Well, after a few months and many, many miles -- around 150 miles -- these finally loosened up a bit and have wound up being pretty comfortable. But it was (literally) a long road to this point, and it shouldn't take that many miles to "break in" sneakers to get them to finally be comfortable. Sadly, several "misses" recently by New Balance makes me a bit gunshy to keep trying more. I may need to switch to another brand to find sneakers that will be more comfortable (or at least: not painful)

Older New Balances were better. These are actually painful.

 So now let's have a look at the insole that comes with the shoe, and it actually comes with an ortholite foam insole with a little bit of supportive shaping there, which is actually quite a nice touch compared to a lot of the shoes out there, but if for one reason or another you need to swap that out for a custom footbed, then that's going to be really easy to change over as well. So moving to the outsole of the V11, we can see that this basically looks identical to what we saw in the V10, but that's definitely not a bad thing as that was a really good performing sole. You can see that these individual rubber pads are sat individually with a small gap on the 1080 foam midsole, and what that's going to do is it's going to allow the midsole to flex really naturally, which I really like. And you can see this by even flexing with your hands that this allows for a really natural progressive flex

 I can't really see this sacrificing any comfort at all, and I think that's a really nice touch. You can also actually see that the New Balance N branding is actually made out of this sort of TPU material and wrapped in and out of the laces here. The material is actually quite thick and you can see it's raised quite a lot from the shoe face itself. And what that's actually going to do, it's going to act as a mid-cage to the shoe

 Hi guys, James here from Wiggle, hope you're all good, today we're going to be having a closer look at the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080 version 11. So first things first, you're probably going to be looking at this and going, oh, is there actually anything different from the version 10? And we do have some subtle changes that we're going to have a look at first, so let's dive in. So firstly, when you look at the upper, you can see that it keeps that flyknit material going, which I was a really big fan of because it was really breathable and quite flexible and gave you that really snug fit when you were running in it. But when you look back further on the shoe, you can see that the heel cup that's made out of this firmer sort of almost neoprene material wraps around further in front of the shoe, which is going to give you that more locked in heel and should really help with any heel slips that you may have had in the previous model

 So the 1080 is really designed for those neutral road runners out there after a really comfortable plush mid to long distance road shoe. As you've probably seen already, the Fresh Foam X mid-soles have seen some really positive reviews and it's really easy to understand why. It's one of those really dynamic mid-soles that gives you that really soft, plush comfort that you want on those long distance road runs, but it's not one that feels really sloppy that eats up all your energy either. It's actually going to give you a really responsive energy return too

What running shoes do you use?

 They started to feel too tight so I loosened the laces but the bands pull the tongue in regardless. I would not recommend these shoes and will start looking for something else today. @NewBalance - Time to get rid of this design in my opinion.

 Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin. Ed Budd here, your majestic majordomo with more sumptuous shoes. Today we're talking about the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080 V11. We took it out for an initial inspection, a first foray and a darn good go

5 or US size 12, this cushioned Crusader clocks in at 310 grams, that's 10.9 ounces. Purchased with my own earth credits. Beware, beware, beware

 There's quite a bit more foam here in my UK 11.5, I'll tell you that for nothing. I found the shoes fit typical in terms of its sizing to a standard 11.5 in New Balance

Today its a first foray in the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v11, a super pillow like cushion for mile munching fun!

It has been purchased with my own earth credits and as such, i bring the truth.

I examine the upper, midsole, outsole and talk value, because earth credits are hard to earn, easy to spend.

Slips off my heel!

Going for a workhorse like New Balance 1080 or a Nike Pegasus seems to make sense here. Plenty of cushion without giving up stability and they reliably last a long time. Or try checking out the Vomero 16.

Hello all! I'm currently in the process of training for Basic Military Training for the Air Force and need some help choosing a pair of shoes to not only train in now until Dec. 7 (my shipping date), but will also last the entire duration of BMT (8 weeks). 

Currently, I've been running in my Nike Infinity Runs for about 6 months and they've only caused foot pain. I only run 2-4 times a week for a max of 2 miles a run, but my current Infinity Runs always give me pain in my foot. I've been doing a little research, and I think I've narrowed it down to 3 shoes:

* Asics Novablast 2
* New Balance Fuelcell Rebel v2
* Nike Invincible Run

Which shoe would you say has the most cushion and could also function as a daily trainer? Thank you so much in advance!
