Narrow toe box

At first these felt great. But after running some longer runs in them, I found the toe box is not wide enough and gave me a couple black toenails. The overlays on the upper are a hard plastic, as is the knit, and this irritates toenails on longer runs. I would not recommend these.

New Balance RC Elite v2 -- First Impressions in Comments

I had 6 easy miles (\~8:50/mile) before 3 miles @ threshold, 2 miles @ threshold, and 1 miles @ threshold (my threshold paces were 7-7:20/mile), followed by another 3 easy miles, and the threshold paces are when I felt the best and alive. Going fast is a must to really bring alive these shoes and that's where the real benefit comes in. Overall I was very impressed and will certainly continue to use them for my two weekly long run workouts in prep for my first marathon. Awesome shoes.

Fast!

I’ve only done a small break in run so far. They will be tested in a couple of weeks in a half marathon but first impressions are a huge speed and comfort bump. A little awkward transitioning from my 860 training shoes. Takes a little getting used too but the results were great.

Endorphin Pro+ -They're a top tier racer!

If it continued to be available, I'd even spend the extra $50 on it (ideally it would just be the same price and be the v2 though). Something about that weight reduction bringing it into the sub 7oz range combined with the lockdown/breathability of the upper really make this shoe feel a lot faster. Really somewhere in the .7oz weight reduction range doesn't seem like that much, but it is definitely noticed. It could be how/where the upper locks you to the midsole as well.
