My rossignol black ops 98 are a bit unforgiving and don’t edge well enough. I tried the Nordica Santa Ana 88s, they were ok but a bit soft and chattery. The vokyl secret 95s were too boring/groomer oriented, didn’t turn well.

I'm 173cm tall and I enjoy skis from 162cm to 180cm. The 98 in 172cm will you better support both length wise and width compared to your current ski. The length will give you more stability at speed, and the width will provide more float and a stiffer flex. I would even consider the 179cm for even more support given your stats, but imo the enforcer/santa ana is a beefy ski so no real need to go longer.

They're playful for groomers and can handle some off-piste. I ended up sizing wider this season (Santa Ana 98) because I realized the Pandoras could not handle deep days here. Depending on how often you go out west, I would go with the Blizzard Black Pearl 88 and not compromise on east coast performance, rather demoing/renting when you're out west.

I am 150lb, 167cm height, and Santa Ana's 165cm worked best. I just bought it :). Other skis were fine, but just not nearly as fun, I just can't describe it. I was also considering Salomon QST Lux, but then I sawa lot of recommendations to go with which ever models length fits you better.

Then at the end of the year watch for shops putting their demo inventory on sale. I managed to snag a pair of Nordica Santa Ana 98's for my wife at the end of last year for about $400 us. They probably had 3-5 days of skiing on them and the bases were still immaculate. She's a little shorter and probably lighter than you, but is completely in love with the 165.

Wound up buying Nordica Santa Ana 98 at 172. The Santa Ana feels a little more stable at speed, but turning feels just as easy bc as a women’s ski, the binding mounting point is slightly more centered.
