The Numatic Henry sounds perfect! We have had one for over 10 years and other than bags it’s been reliable! Great on bare floors and even low pile carpet! And for $347 on amazon. [URL REMOVED]

Hoover ONEPWR HEPA+ Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Hey everyone, I am about to be graduating and will be moving out come April or May, and for my birthday I wanted to get a vacuum that would be quality. I love vacuuming but every single one I've ever had was like 50 dollars and just absolute garbage so I want something to last. Here is some information

Budget: I was prepared to spend 500+ for a Dyson stick vacuum but hear it just isn't worth it so budget range I would say 300-500 with the cheaper being better. I don't need the absolute best of all time vacuum, if something is 350 and works that is great.

Flooring: While not moved out yet, all that I have looked at and going to choose between is all hardwood with carpet only in bedrooms and tiles in bathrooms. So around 70 hardwood-30 carpet.

Special needs: No pets will live with me I do not want them so this is not a concern. Perhaps a lighter would be nice, again wanted a stick vacuum for ease of use so a super heavy duty vacuum wouldn't be too appealing to me.

Thanks for all your guy's help, glad to find this place before I pulled the trigger on the stick.

Looking for my first vacuum for moving out

 1 Year Update May 1, 2022: Today I used the Henry to clean the screens on the house and the 2nd and 3rd story balconies. It is powerful, light weight, and got the job done. I really like this machine and the fact it does not emit dust is fantastic.

I have a SEBO Vacuum but find that I reach for the Henry most of the time as it is very easy to use and the quality exceeded my expectations. Also, with allergies the Hepa Filter System just works as advertised. My only complaint is this: Why is this product so difficult to find in the United States ? Lastly, I am able to use my SEBO extensions with the HENRY and the HENRY makes me smile and laugh when I see it sitting somewhere in a room in the house. Bravo to the engineers that make this Vacuum

Numatic/NaceCare henry Allergy Canister Vacuum

This gentlemen made a really nice video comparing numerous different Numatic Henry vacuums, including a cordless one. The cordless one was by far, the least powerful.

Hello, and apologies for my lack of experience, I have a severe dust allergy and want to buy a vacuum that can literally eliminate dust from the floors of my house and carpets. I was recommended those modern wireless vacuums but I'm hesitating to buy one. 

My brain tells me to go for a big clunky powerful vacuum (2000 Watts, Crown or Karcher probably) would that be a good choice or not? I don't care at all about noise or fancy design, only performance and efficiency.

are baggless and cordless vaccums less powerful?

 The manual cord reel is easy to use and keeps the storage tidy. This is best suited for hard flooring but the suction is strong enough to clean carpet.

Strong suction and very quiet. My kids love the googly eyes. Although it looks like a shop vac, it is the size of a small canister vaccum. The cord is made similar to the standard of construction grade extension cord

Far better than the UK's other vacuum that rhymes with Bison

For a house with mostly hard floors a bagged canister would be great. I recommend a bagged vacuum with a hepa exhaust filter because it will offer the best filtration for the least amount of maintenance. Dyson does not recommend washing their cyclones at all so the bin will start to stink and you still need to regularly wash the primary filter and replace the hepa filter. I recommend a BIFL machine that will last 10-15 years and be enjoyable to use

 Henrys are very durable and powerful vacuums. The straight suction will be great for hard floors and do well on low to medium pile rugs. You can buy a turbo head if you get more rugs, a turbo head will help the speed and performance on low to medium pile rugs. Henry also uses standard 1

[Miele C2 Turbo]([URL REMOVED] $499 @ Costco. Mieles are very nice German vacuums. Miele C2 adds an automatic cord rewinder and a turbo head included. The standard synthetic bags and AirClean filter are recommended by allergy associations but you can also upgrade and add a hepa exhaust filter which I recommend for anyone with allergies

I am pretty sure it has a warranty on it for issues like this (motor hums but no suction and the brush doesn’t move), but since we’re moving, I thought I’d poke around at getting a new one.

Purchase Advice: New Vacuum for a new home

Your question around filter placement though is a question I have been wrestling with as well. I think the primary issue is that if you ever have a dust leak inside the vacuum or dust particles settles on the motor over time then you are going to start seeing a loss in filtration results as the motor will spin these dust particles into the air (and on top of that, you probably wouldn't know given how fine dust particles can be). This is the only case I can see where any dust besides just carbon dust leaves the motor (I don't think people have allergies to carbon dust for the most part though and the carbon dust particles are probably very insignificant otherwise I feel like everyday household appliances like stand mixers would have exhaust filters). I think if people use the Henry vacuum properly and only open it up for a brief moment to replace the filter/bag and regularly replace them as needed, then I believe long term filtration shouldn't deviate that much but again, this is all speculation

Hope you could help me. I'm desperately looking for a vacuum cleaner that would help with allergies. My baby daughter has signs of eczema and dust allergy. This made me realise that our current vacuum cleaner is too old and is 'leaking' too must dust.

After doing some research I narrowed down choices to bagged Henry Allergy (HVA160) and some models of the Miele C family. That what the budget allows. Both seem to be fine machines with a long life cycle. However, I can't decide which is best for us. Henry Allergy seems to be a new design - maybe not perfected yet? As for Miele C, I'm confused by the number of models - either there's dozens of them or the naming isn't consistent across different territories. Which one is the best for allergies?

Overall, I'm after a reliable vacuum cleaner with benefits for those with allergies. I'd rather pick the one that's more universal and could deal with different surfaces and serve for years. Let me just point out that:

\- I live in the UK

Henry Allergy vs Miele C-series

I am so disappointed with this vacuum! I thought that maybe if I spent more I’d get a good one but it’s the worst vacuum I’ve ever had. It’s heavy and hard to drag around. The brush is so stiff it scratches my hardwood floors. Incredibly hard to vacuum my large low pile rugs

So Unhappy with this vacuum!

 Henry PetCare also comes with a charcoal filter to fight odors. All Numatic Vacuums have excellent filtration even though they lack a post motor filter. You should be fine, I have a Normal Henry and I have Asthma and Allergies and I have never had a issue. So yes, Henry PetCare will be fine as long as you don’t have extremely serious allergies

The pet is a phenomenal value given the attachments included (on amazon at least). We do have some allergies, but from what I’ve read, usually the only thing emitted out of a Henry 160 is carbon from the motor.
