Hope you could help me. I'm desperately looking for a vacuum cleaner that would help with allergies. My baby daughter has signs of eczema and dust allergy. This made me realise that our current vacuum cleaner is too old and is 'leaking' too must dust.

After doing some research I narrowed down choices to bagged Henry Allergy (HVA160) and some models of the Miele C family. That what the budget allows. Both seem to be fine machines with a long life cycle. However, I can't decide which is best for us. Henry Allergy seems to be a new design - maybe not perfected yet? As for Miele C, I'm confused by the number of models - either there's dozens of them or the naming isn't consistent across different territories. Which one is the best for allergies?

Overall, I'm after a reliable vacuum cleaner with benefits for those with allergies. I'd rather pick the one that's more universal and could deal with different surfaces and serve for years. Let me just point out that:

\- I live in the UK

\- I live in a heavily carpeted flat, but in the near future, we hope to move to a place which will have more hard floors. 

\- I don't have any pets but hope to have a dog once we move to a house with a garden (one day...)

Henry Allergy vs Miele C-series

I am so disappointed with this vacuum! I thought that maybe if I spent more I’d get a good one but it’s the worst vacuum I’ve ever had. It’s heavy and hard to drag around. The brush is so stiff it scratches my hardwood floors. Incredibly hard to vacuum my large low pile rugs

First Vaccum Purchase for New Homeowner

 1 Year Update May 1, 2022: Today I used the Henry to clean the screens on the house and the 2nd and 3rd story balconies. It is powerful, light weight, and got the job done. I really like this machine and the fact it does not emit dust is fantastic.

I have a SEBO Vacuum but find that I reach for the Henry most of the time as it is very easy to use and the quality exceeded my expectations. Also, with allergies the Hepa Filter System just works as advertised. My only complaint is this: Why is this product so difficult to find in the United States ? Lastly, I am able to use my SEBO extensions with the HENRY and the HENRY makes me smile and laugh when I see it sitting somewhere in a room in the house. Bravo to the engineers that make this Vacuum

Numatic/NaceCare henry Allergy Canister Vacuum

 Henry PetCare also comes with a charcoal filter to fight odors. All Numatic Vacuums have excellent filtration even though they lack a post motor filter.

The pet is a phenomenal value given the attachments included (on amazon at least). We do have some allergies, but from what I’ve read, usually the only thing emitted out of a Henry 160 is carbon from the motor.

Want a dyson or just a really good lightweight vacuum that has a brushless option or attachment that I can use on a room size leather rug. Brush vacuums tear it up. I have hardwood floors throughout, and one other regular rug, so I don't want a brushless vacuum, just want to have that option. Dyson didn't seem to have brushless attachments that didn't require me vacuuming on my hands and knees?
