 It's a little bit too thin. Honestly for this setup: I would have done I should have done 20 pound but I'm going to rig this up. I've got the P line TCB braid as my main line and then I attached a fluorocarbon leader. well copolymer

 I Can just hold it right there with two fingers and it's not. It's not too heavy on the tip, it's not too heavy on the end. Perfectly balanced. That's something I look for in every setup that I buy every spinning setup that it's not too top-heavy Not to bottom heavy

 the two together. There's what it looks like. pretty good. So my initial thoughts when holding this setup: It's very light and it seems very balanced now

 Both of these items are a really good value to be honest with you. For the price point, the quality and the strengths and durability that they deliver is second to none. Honestly, so you guys are looking for a nice, relatively inexpensive set up. I Think that you're going to find this setup very attractive

Lately I have gotten more into ultralight fishing. just for fun I have been using a little ultralight settup to catch micro tarpon, trout, and mangrove snappers etc. I have been using ugly stick dock runner spooled with abt 120yds of 6lb mono. I’d like to upgrade the reel quality, but still keep same size and light weight of dock runner reel.  As a kid I don’t wana spend more than 35$ lol at most like 45$ Thankyou!

Best budget ultralight reel?

 This was mostly paired with a Fiblink 2 piece 10 foot surf rod (Available on Amazon, great rod for the money) and spooled with 25 lb Kast King braid. Even though this was a "surf setup," I mostly ended up pier fishing, and because both the rod and reel were so light, it was very comfortable to fish with. I caught over 50 pan sized spot, croaker, white perch, striper, and shad and overall the reel performed admirably.  Now for the flaws- The 5

2:1 for their 5000 size models. It was definitely noticeable when retrieving 50-75 yards of line as it did become tiring pulling in all those fish when the bite got hot. If it were just this, I would have given a 5 star review considering the price, however the main thing I didn't like was the reel foot. I noticed considerable flexing when paired to several different rods

 It wasn't noticeable when reeling in the smaller fish, but I hooked into a skate and when fighting it the flex was very evident. The drag performed great, and the reel had enough power to muscle the skate in close enough to the pier to cut my line, but all of the flexing was a turnoff. I have hooked into skates many times before with reels of lesser quality and I don't remember the flex being so noticeable.  Overall, I do enjoy using this reel and would give it 5 stars for catching any medium to smaller species of fish

 It's machine cut. the body is graphite, corrosion resistant graphite and that's gonna do and I believe I'm gonna gosh I don't they don't mark it with the they don't tell with the rotor materials. I'm gonna guess that it's graphite and then it's gonna weigh see 30 ways 232 grams. so I'm gonna have to convert that into ounces for you I don't know that off the top of my head I'll put it on the screen

 it's really weird. Everything's in alright. so so for full from wanna can hold four pound 300 yards, six pounds 185, eight pounds 108 45-yards I like that. that's that's not bad I think he could be a little more I wish it was a little more

Okuma Ceymar Review

I have the Shimano Sienna and Okuma Ceymar and they are both great reels. I slightly prefer the Ceymar due to the heavier bail but have been very happy with the Sienna too. Personally I don't think the Daiwa Crossfire is in the same class as the other two.

I own a Shakespeare Ugly Stik GX2 and mainly fish canals in London and once in a blue moon, I go shore/surf fishing. I've narrowed my search down to these three reels, however unsure which one to go with. Therefore, in your opinion, which one would be ideal? Thanks in advance!

Okuma Ceymar, Daiwa Crossfire LT or Shimano Sienna?

 Held for 32 minutes at 11am and no one picked up. That's minus two or three stars for total apathy and rudeness toward the customer. I won't buy anything from Okuma ever again.

After being very happy with a C-30 for a year, I ordered a C-40. Gave it to my son for his birthday but he didn't need it. Finally got around to winding line a few weeks later and it turns out to be defective (see photo). Minus one star for that, but I know they can make a good spinning reel most of the time, and nobody's perfect

Looking for a good spinning reel under $60 dollars

 I did less research on the reel but assumed the Ceymar series from Okuma would be a suitable match for the rod.  I was really pleased with the quality of the reel as soon as I opened the box! My expectations were not all that high at the sub fifty dollar price point but whatever they were, they were exceeded. I'm more of a weekend angler than serious fisherman and I've owned plenty of big-box store combo spinning rods & reels that are great for wetting a line and not much more. The Ceymar C-10 is a HUGE step up from the 1 or 2 bearing reels that I'm accustomed to using! I've only had the rod & reel for 3+ weeks so I can't offer any opinion on the long term durability but I have already caught plenty of bluegill and redear sunfish along with a couple of 3/4 lb bass

I purchased the C-10 reel and paired it with the Okuma Celilo Ultralight Trout Spinning Rod (CE-S-662UL-1). I live on a small lake near Atlanta, GA and wanted an ultralight setup to fish for panfish off of my dock and an occasional trip to the river to fish for trout (stocked Rainbow and wild Brown). The rod was highly rated by several reviewers and was consistently rated as the 'best budget trout rod'. I didn't have any knowledge of the Okuma brand before I started my research but felt comfortable making the purchase after reading the 9th or 10th positive review

Great Ultralight Reel...

 There are far better reels for $100 though, the President isn’t even close. Daiwa Fuego, Okuma ITX and Shimano Nasci all beats it.

I probably won’t upgrade until my cheap spinning real breaks on me. This is probably going to be the replacement, any others around this price? From what I’ve read these are the best under $150 or so

 I coupled this reel with a short, ultra light action, Ugly Stik E lite rod, and it seems to be a good match. I've landed several one pound+ fish with this set up no problem. I did have to play the larger fish I've caught a little more than I might have with a larger set up, but that's the whole point and fun of ultra light fishing. Be very aware of the line capacities prior to buying any reel, the reel I bought does not hold a lot of line, due to it's small size

I tried this reel because my trolling reels are all Okuma, and I've been VERY happy with them for years now. Okuma is steadily making a name for itself in my world, and I have yet to have one of their products fail
