Ovente Electric Immersion Hand Blender

Blending power feels lower than other similar HP products. It still did it’s job. Machine washable top rack no problem, but one time we put it on the bottom of the dish washer and the plastic coupler on the blender head that’s supposed to connect to the motor piece deformed.

 If this was to provide overload protection, that would be understandable, but it didn't really work. If it died after ten years' use I would buy it again.  Be sure not to stick your fingers into the blade bell with the power on--sharp blades and powerful motor!

This is a very well-made blender, but soon after I began to use it a small plastic gear that formed part of the power shaft broke. The company responded quickly to my request to replace the broken part and sent replacements in which a new configuration was used that I would guess might actually keep it from happening again. Quite impressive. I give it four stars because I wasn't impressed with using a delicate plastic piece as part of the drive mechanism in the first place

Easy to clean and store--company fixed problem

I was happy with this hand blender until I was using it to mix a cake and it over heated. The blender completely stopped worked for about 5 minutes and then it would start up again for a few seconds and then turn off again. It works well for simple task like blending up a protein shake but I wouldn’t use it for any heavy duty blending. Pros is that it’s easy to use and easy to clean

Gets the job done

this was my first time using hand blender. its better than magic bullets in few applications. but this gets heated easily, though that's not an issue for the recipes i make. but for making mayonese type of thing which needs lot of blending would be an issue

good blender for the price. It did overheat a couple of times on me (I use it to make soap) and had to turn it off to let it cool down, but all in all it is a good stick blender.

When I have used other immersion blenders, I have noticed that some designs are more prone to SPEWING the liquid that they are blending all over the kitchen if you accidentally raise the blending head just a little bit too far out of the liquid. In my experience, I think that this blender seems to be designed in such a way as to minimize that problem. I think it probably has to do with the deep-bell shape of the blade cover. It contains a powerful motor, and the instructions say to use it only for one-minute intervals with breaks in between use

 If you are using this for smoothies or small-batches of something it will work fine. I definitely notice that even when I use mine for these "within-the-time-limit" purposes, the motor does get very hot. I use a different brand of blender for making soups or things that need to be blended for a longer time. This one is really great for the purposes I've mentioned, was very inexpensive compared to other models, and even though the main connectoions between motor and blending shaft are plastic, they mesh well and work fine!  I will also add that the design of this product's blade assembly is very simple and very easy to keep clean
