Panasonic RZ-S500W Help Needed!

The RZ-S500W earphones are simple, circular black buds with angled eartips. Aside from a small Panasonic logo on the side above the eartip and a horseshoe-shaped metallic vent on the back, these are completely unassuming little earbuds. The earpieces have no fins or other stabilizing structures, but they come with five pairs of differently sized silicone eartips to help achieve a very secure fit.

The Panasonic RZ-S500W true wireless earphones offer surprisingly strong noise cancellation and good bass power in a stylish package.

 They're not the most gym-friendly pair of wire-free earphones out there, but they're definitely worth considering if you want noise cancellation.

Active noise cancellation (ANC) is rare to find in wire-free earphones, and very good ANC is even less common.  -touch controls work, but it takes a little practice.  Cons: -the charging case will continually charge the buds even if the buds are fully charged. This means your charging case will drain itself in a few days even if you never use the buds. This also means you're going to wear out the lifespan of both the batteries in the case and buds since discharging to zero (for the case) and continually charging a full battery (for the buds) stresses the batteries

 The Sony ANC earbuds may have better electronic ANC but their shape prevented me from inserting the buds deep enough to create a good seal. Due to my ear canal shape, I have to place buds deeper in my ear to get a good seal, which these provide.  Neutral -sound quality is ok. It's not very dynamic

 Really could have used some wings to help keep them in place. -hinge on the charging case doesn't appear meaty enough and I have concerns with how it'll hold up with any kind of abuse like an accidental drop. -no support for any version of aptx and so on android devices, there is a noticeable but minor delay in audio which creates sync issues when watching video

The Panasonic RZ-S500W's fit this bill also. Not only are they a single tap pause, unlike most earbuds the reaction time is instantaneous. Very easy buds to use. 👍

Affordable earbuds that are easy to pause?

 I have tried to boost it, but it heavily distorts the bass. Also had some problems where the song would stop playing for a second and then kept going, but that wasn't that big of an issue. Anyway, I'm kind of disappointed, and will most likely be returning these and looking elsewhere.

 It's not a huge problem though, since 95% of the time you will be running them with ANC on. The main problem I have with them is the volume. They don't get loud enough. The sound quality itself is really good, bass is rich and all of the other facets of the tracks are there, but the volume is kinda low

However, unlike their competitors (L3P, Airpods Pro, Bose QC etc.) these have very few reviews, and fewer still speaking to their long term viability. Of those Ive found there are a concerning number of people saying these break down after a few months (one headphone lowering in volume permanently is the most common complaint) and this makes me worry that the few positive and unsponsored reviews were made shortly after purchasing. Are there any current or previous owners of the AZ60s who can speak on how they've held up over time?

Long Term Durability of the Technics AZ60

 The ability to adjust ambient sound and also ANC is a nice to have.  Get if your primary goal is ANC and Ambient noise reduction. Good for music, movies, and blocking out surroundings.  Don’t get if your looking for great call quality

Product feel like a concept prototype. Active noise cancellation is far the best, better than AirPods Pro. Believe me I know, given I own a pair. That is the only thing where these excel

  Not sure how Panasonic managed to provide superior ANC and Ambient noise cancelling then all other wireless Bluetooth headphones. Yet the phone call quality sucks. You would think the amazing noise filtering would be applied to calls given it’s the same mics. This is where they failed
