 You could definitely get a sweatshirt under here or a hoodie under here, but it's going to be a little bit tight unless you size up. It's not a slim fit, but it's something you'd wear like a t-shirt and a flannel under, but it's tough to get a big hoodie on there or sweater, whatever you wear. As far as closure goes, you have four buttons and a zipper, which is really nice. Having options to choose between two, critical

 So you have two breast pockets, both of which have a button on them. Critical, you're going to need that for a wallet or something like that, keys, two pockets that are good for warming your hands that you would place your hand in with no pocket protector or no flap or anything like that. Again, critical for me, no zippers, no buttons, which I really like. So you can put your hands in here, keep them warm, but you have storage over here

 It was used slightly, probably washed a few times. They do have, uh, you know, some of the canvas products that are going to make, they have a brown canvas, which is, you know, what comes as being a little bit stiffer than this hemp one. I'm not entirely sure if some colors are different or some models are different, but as far as canvas goes on the whole, this is a nice, easy to wear canvas. You get some of that toughness, but not all the toughness of the canvas

 This is an insulated jacket, so you have some nice insulation here. It's kind of like medium weight, really good for like, you know, high, low forties to maybe low sixties in temperature, where today is in the fifties is perfect. You do have an interior zip pocket. Again, this will be for valuables, not giant, but big enough for a wallet

A comfortable cherished blanket of a jacket.

 If I expected to do day-to-day serious work or wanted to do significant layering underneath, I'd go with my normal size of large which would be quite roomy for me. I also found that shrinkage for this garment, even using hot water and a hot dryer (which is probably not recommended anyway) led to quite minimal shrinkage. Point being, don't buy excessively baggy expecting significant shrinking to happen. If you can dial your size in, this is a helluva of a great jacket that should last for years and years in all kinds of conditions

Excellent jacket, runs large

If you are able to, I would highly recommend trying on sizes at a store first because I could see how this could wildly range for different frames and body types. 

 This is a for life part of your wardrobe. From the office to the trail, it's built for it all.

Oh this is how Bougie people never are too hot or too cold

 Had been washed several times. And-- it was no worse for wear. No fraying or stressed seams. And the Thermogreen puff insulation wasn't packed down
