My daughter was 6 when we bought this and she fit right within the specified size and weight for this harness. Yet, because this harness is not adjustable in the body or the legs, only the shoulders, there is no way to make it fit her without huge gaps in the back and legs. There is no way to make it fit, and I know what I'm doing when it comes to harnesses. It's still safe, there is no way she can fall out of it, and the comfort is OK according to her, but I think a more adjustable model would have been better

I've been dissappointed- lack of adjustability means that fit is imperfect on small kids.

Petzl makes some good equipment, and this harness meets expectations.  I bought it for my 3 1/2 yr old (35 lb) daughter, since she climbs like a monkey on our wall and I have to belay her with my hands.  The harness fit on her, was comfy enough that she didn't complain, and sinched up pretty good in the front- but there are no buckles in the rear.  I had to add a set of sliders to take up the slack, or she would fall out the back

It's a good harness

I bought this for my three year old approximately 31lb daughter. It’s comfortable for her, it seems like it will last for a while. I like that it is adjustable in the back which is why I bought it over the other children’s harness on here which I had rented at my local climbing gym a few times. Very useful feature

Bought this for my 5 yr old girl, so far she’s only tried it in but I’m impressed with the materials and workmanship as well as the fit. Wish the leg loops had adjustability but fit is secure regardless with the correct adjustment to the other 4 points. Like MJ support on another matter with same order. Top Notch MJ

Quality Materials and good fit range.

This harness has been great to help get our young daughters on the rocks. It help our kids feel very secure on top rope and fits both of them despite their difference in sizes (our 4 y/o is 40 lbs and our 2 y/o is about 26 lbs). Our one wish is that the legs were able to be adjusted for additional comfort.

My 4 1/2-year-old son has been a conscientious, thoughtful climber since he could walk. Until recently, he's been content with bouldering, but now that his big brother goes to the indoor climbing gym a couple times a week, he's ready to start climbing the really tall walls! Due to his cautious nature, I especially wanted him to feel safe and comfortable, plus I wanted to make sure the harness I chose would last him a long time. This harness does the trick!

 After she had played in the harness for a bit she stopped complaining, and when we went climbing it was absolutely fine. Children are used to soft comfortable clothes, not a more stiff fitting piece of safety equipment, so give them time if they complain at first. Good harness, very pleased with it.

 The harness fitted both of them properly and they were safe, even being turned upside down. At first the 6 year, 28kgs girl complained that the leg straps (which aren't adjustable) were tight and uncomfortable. After she had played in the harness for a bit she stopped complaining, and when we went climbing it was absolutely fine.
