The Petzl Sama is a great choice for pretty much any kind of rock climbing. While there are other, less expensive harnesses available, the performance they offer is nowhere near that of the super comfortable Sama, and it's still a bit cheaper than most other alternatives, ensuring it's a great value. Whether one is hanging out that the base of a crag, or hanging at belays many pitches off the ground, this is one comfortable harness. We also love how the elastic fixed leg loops allow for greatly increased mobility without any noticeable constrictions of movement. Although it's designed primarily for sport climbing, we also think it's a solid choice for trad climbing because of the wide and rigid front gear loops, combined with large and easy to access rear gear loops that give one plenty of room for storing all of the long route necessities. 
Nothing is ever truly perfect, however, and the Sama still comes with a couple of tiny flaws. In some instances, we found the Black Diamond Solution to be a hair more comfortable. The Sama also weighs a couple of ounces more than the lightest harnesses that we tested, and we would really love it if it included a larger, but still low profile, fifth gear loop in the back. It also isn't a great choice for alpine and ice climbing due to a lack of ice clipper slots. Whether you prefer plugging cams, clipping bolts, or hanging at the gym, and especially if you prefer all of the above at an affordable price, the Sama will not disappoint.

 Point is similarly reinforced real heavy bar tacking and it's just very stiff. I'Ve had leaders of artisans summer of 2008 and it's just starting to show somewhere in the Lord say, that's many years hard use, but overall the solid, great harness, really impressed is non-adjustable leg, loops they're, just like the elastic self-adjusting elastic leg loops. I first didn't think I would like this style of leg loop, but I'm um, you know a convert to it. I really like this a lot

 I got the opportunity to demo a couple of pencil harnesses today at the pencil booth, they were demoing all their various harnesses, there's a couple of new ones. For this year. The new ones are the men's AMA and the women's Celina in new colors so climb. With this harness today, initial impressions really impressed it's really nice very lightweight right now, I'm climbing with a Petzl Khalid hrus, which is my personal harness

 So this is definitely a lot different from that and I would say in a very positive way: it's it's very light and I can move very easily in it. It'S very breathable as well, so some attributes of the harness it has a single quick pull buckle where some of the other harnesses have a double like the one I'm used to. It has a double. This has a single the tie-in points, so this webbing here the tie-in points are all Dyneema or spectra, I'm not sure they're similar materials

I'm 5'9, 172 pounds, 32 inch waist with a slightly athletic/ average build. This harness runs pretty small for me and the leg loops were too tight for me, which is unfortunate because there are no leg loop adjustments with this harness. The belt and gear loops were off center and just felt wrong all around. Will have to return and get something different
