 The top cannot take a radiator and combo due to the mounting placement and clearance, and I think the price which is 84 in the UK, 95 in the US and then 150 in Australia is still asking a bit much. However, it is a fun case to build inside and it gives you slightly more space to maneuver for things like components like the GPU. The overall look is great the front grille design, but the cooling fans is definitely something which adds it's lovely depth to any build with that cavity, especially if you can catch it from a slight angle, the ability to customize the mode and the colours on the fly From that front panel is a good touch. The lighting system, of course, can synchronize with all those major board, vendor RGB tech and there's also the extra 3 pin connectors

 It has 802 11 ax otherwise known as Wi-Fi 6, giving you support for that new wireless standards. We have greater bandwidth as well as providing bi-directional MIMO support. Asrock has given gaming X a flexible, integrated, IO shield, so you're not going to struggle to fit it into your case. The PCI Express m dot 2 slots been given this huge heatsink cover which promises to keep your is nice and cool, as well as keeping that GPU heat away from your drives and on top of those features

 Tech'S hard drive brackets, but again those don't come with the case. They will need to be purchased separately. Okay, so, finally, we're gon na get a closer look at the clearance options within p400, a just to verify what fits and what doesn't and so for the CPU cooler fan Tech's specify 160 millimeter. Our hyper to on to is one five nine and you can see there is sufficient space there before it would touch that panel in the graphics card Department

Phanteks Eclipse P400A / P400 Air Review

 Yes, it’s something I should probably have researched more about, but wiring the fans properly is the hardest part about building this PC so far. Newer motherboards are almost all 4pin connectors and me being inexperienced am worried about burning things up on my Mobo or damaging other components in my pc.  There are a few things I do like: The velcro straps for cable management are an awesome addition to the case and probably my favorite feature. I really like the cooling capabilities with this case and it’s front mesh panel

 That’s about it.  This being said, I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to buy a Phanteks case again. I think I’m a little bit more picky than most consumers. Phanteks is a brand I’d give another shot based on what the community has been saying about them and their performance compared to other cases

Ehhh. Should’ve went with the P500 or P600.

 That would allow us to use 3 fans with just one fan header on the motherboard, so you’ll have to buy this separately. If you don’t have a lot of easily accessible fan, headers on your motherboard. And after finishing the build in this case, I have to say that it looks REALLY nice with the bright ARGB fans lighting up the front panel in this very interesting way.

 If you want to see more performance data, you can watch GamersNexus review of this case, who have really put unimaginable level of effort into benchmarking, the performance of the P400A, and they have also given it the case of the year award for 2019. And if Steve is saying that something is really good, then you should really believe that to be the absolute truth., But coming to my own thoughts on the case. I also think that this is a very well rounded case

, You can see the different RGB effects. We have on these fans, and the performance is also really great because of the mesh. So all of that makes it a really well rounded case, and the mesh also integrates very well into the design and doesn’t look an afterthought that they went with, because everyone else is also following this recent trend.

, You get a dust filter for the PSU And on top, you also get another filter for the top exhaust, which can support upto 2 140mm fans or a 280mm radiator.. The top seems pretty simple, with just the power button and 2 USB 3.0 ports with the microphone and headphone jack, but there’s more to it

Phanteks Eclipse P400A Review: Case of the Year?

 These are specific complaints but they are the reason Im going back to the Enthoo Pro M. the downgrade from aRGB to regular RGB front intake fans and losing the built in RGB controller is worth it for the big jump in build friendly features. This case is only $10 cheaper but it feels more like a $50 case.  All in all the build turned out well

 It is near impossible to mount any sort of 240mm radiator to the top of the case due to the mounting holes being so far back in the top panel that any standard motherboard will be cutting against the fan shrouds. Even more rediculous, only mounting 2 fans to the top of the case was a pain. I actually had to shave the corners on my CPU power connectors because the mounting holes are THAT far back in the case. The bracket on the other models is not only removable but allows the radiator+fans to hang further down picking more heat off the motherboard and also sticking the mounting hole further into the case

 -Missing alot of features compared to their other similar priced cases: PCIE power cable cutout in top of PSU shroud, No removable optical drive tray, Glass panel is much thinner and edges are rough making the panel feel much cheaper and flimsy, no front mount 2.5" SSD bracket against the glass to show off SSDs, last but definitely not least is the top mount radiator bracket is not present. It is near impossible to mount any sort of 240mm radiator to the top of the case due to the mounting holes being so far back in the top panel that any standard motherboard will be cutting against the fan shrouds. Even more rediculous, only mounting 2 fans to the top of the case was a pain

The bracket on the other models is not only removable but allows the radiator+fans to hang further down picking more heat off the motherboard and also sticking the mounting hole further into the case. having the mounting screws for just the fans up against the dust filter on top of this case looks cheap and distorts the dust filter. One last thing is good luck hiding RGB strips close to the glass

 There is no gap between the bottom of the visible cutout of the case and the front panel mounting clips keep you from butting the strip against the case wall in the front. Along the back of the case there is no gap between the rear fan and the glass panel so no strip there either. These are specific complaints but they are the reason Im going back to the Enthoo Pro M. the downgrade from aRGB to regular RGB front intake fans and losing the built in RGB controller is worth it for the big jump in build friendly features

Great ventilation, not so great build quality

 If you wanted to very similar to some of the fractal art, design versions, the actual cases themselves or the actual kind of mounting sections you can buy on places like overclockers and amazon. For about six pounds, apiece, which i guess that is a sizeable amount of money, if you can put it on to it, what is a relatively budget case, but it would have been nice to have maybe at least one or two of them, if they're retailing for Around about six pounds here in the uk, you can pretty much guarantee there's at least a 50 markup on the prices at the retail, so to actually manufacture them for a small piece of metal, with a couple of pieces of plastic also going to cost. Maybe a pound two pounds each, so i think just to be able to put maybe a couple of them in there just as an option for those people that do want to use them. It would have been nice to have them included rather than having this kind of otherwise pretty much useless section

 Do let us know i'm sure, people in the comments section other people watching this video will find it extremely useful to know that for me personally, i think it's way too close. You can get a radiator in on its own or you can get fans in their own, but both at the same time. I think you are definitely going to struggle, but overall, i think fantacs have done. A a relatively good job again depends on the price point

My second disappointment is the actual methods of wiring, so overall actual cable management inside is actually pretty decent, but the one strange thing i found is, i suppose, it's because they've used the original p400 tooling and just chuck these fans in there isn't actually a good way Of routing the cabling for the fans through to the motherboard now traditionally, when you've got any kind of fans or any options for mounting fans in a case, normally there'll be some kind of cut out. So you can pass the cables through to the back part of your motherboard, so you can do it nice and neatly

 I can actually access these okay, so you press the button and you can cycle through the colors now uh what sorry this style, rather so, you've got like the chase effect and you've got this kind of strobe. Then there's a static. I believe that is and then you can go into like the rainbow mode. Also, then you can change color, so there's various options, so you've got your green, which goes into the yellows etc

5 Reasons NOT To Buy Phanteks P400A Digital Airflow ATX Case

Case is OK..I think I got a defective case...with a dent...

 As of this video, however, the P400A seems to be out of stock or way overpriced. Its original MSRP is $90, which to me is ten bucks too much considering how similar to the P360A it is. If you do want the digital version, you might be able to find it for around $100-$110. The P400A is available in black, while the digital version is available in black or white

 Set an amount you are willing to spend on a case within a $10 price range of that amount. For example, $70-$80. Then look at all the cases within the range, narrow your choices down to the cases that have the features you deem are an absolute must, and after that, look at both user and media reviews. Finally, make your choice and it will be in one that is informed

 Speaking of price, I was able to purchase my P400A for $69.99, which is a heck of a deal and the same price I paid for the P360A. As of this video, however, the P400A seems to be out of stock or way overpriced. Its original MSRP is $90, which to me is ten bucks too much considering how similar to the P360A it is

 So that's it for that. Before getting to the manual, you also have a warranty information card, and then finally we have our manual, which is nothing but some folded paper, and it's very similar to the other two cases. It'll be both in color and black and white, and it looks like we have some building instructions or at least panel removal instructions, some features that I'm going to cover here shortly, as well as what each of the cables are, what accessories you get, some of the things that you can buy separately. Whether you love or hate the pretty lights, the P360A has them, and for less than the non-RGB version of the P400A

This is the third case I’ve looked at in the Phanteks Eclipse line-up. The P400A is similar to the P300A and P360A cases I’ve already looked at, but there are enough differences to make it stand out.  I decided to go with an air cooler for my build as well and it did not fit, so if you are deciding to use an air cooler make sure you read the specs on the case to see if you will have enough clearance for it. I was putting in the Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black dual tower and it did not fit. I ultimately had to return the case because of this and I did not want to put a radiator in the front or back of the case because you cannot put one on top

My first build - ASUS z490/10900/2080ti - runs quick - FS2020 no prob indeed.  However, the remaining problem I have is with this case. The RGB controller/fan controller does not work.  Either the case provided controller is dead, or the documentation provided is incredibly lousy
