As a dual boiler machine, there is both a 0.75 liter boiler dedicated exclusively to brewing and a 2 liter boiler dedicated to steaming. Both boilers are made of stainless steel and wrapped with thermal insulation. The boilers have been bolted to the frame of the machine for structural stability but are easily removable, an element of the highly modular internal design that allows for easy servicing and repair. Brew pressure is provided by the powerful RPM motor and rotary pump which cuts down on the noise produced by the brewing process and allows you to connect the the machine directly to a water line or use the 3 liter water reservoir. The last facet of the brewing process, the E61 brew group is made of solid chrome plated brass and is constantly heated by a thermosyphon system to ensure maximum temperature stability. This unit has an insulated steam wand with a four-hole steam tip. The hot water wand is similarly insulated to help prevent accidental burns. The benefit of these valves is that they don’t need to be fully opened or closed to regulate the flow of steam/water. The way it works is that by turning the knobs, pressure is either added to or released from a spring that holds the valves shut. This prevents you from having to rotate the knobs numerous times to open or close the valves. The manual three way valve which is controlled by the brewing lever drains any excess pressure and water directly into the 1 liter drip tray, keeping the internal components dry. A unique and desirable feature of the Pro 700 is its front mounted dual boiler PID display that monitors both the brew and steam boiler temperatures and allows you to adjust both, a beneficial feature that allows you to achieve more precise brewing conditions to extract certain notes and flavors from different coffees. PID has its built-in shot timer that switches on when you begin brewing. The front of the machine also sports dual pressure gauges that monitor both pump and boiler pressure.

What is your opinion of WLL trashing Lelit Bianca?

 If you have it even partially tucked under cabinetry, this means you'll be lifting a 75 pound machine every time it needs filling. To me, a better design would be a fill port at the front of the machine. Of course, you can plumb the Profitec and never have to worry about filling it - perhaps this is what they really intend, except I like the consistency I get from using the same brand of bottled water over and over, rather than putting my city water supply through it.  Of course, the Profitec is expensive

  Anyway, on the journey to the perfect cup of coffee, the Profitec 700 is definitely a worthwhile companion. Definitely recommended!

.just feels like it would be a good built-in feature. Still, I do like that this is pretty much a "minimalist" machine with no frills beyond what it takes to make excellent espresso.  But of course the proof is in the taste of what pours into your cup, and here is where the Profitec excels

  One final complaint is that I don't like the placement of the internal tank at the back of the machine. To fill it, you really need to get to the right rear of the unit. The right machine for making espresso

  Pros: -dual boiler, which means no down time between pulling the shot and steaming the milk (you can even do this at the same time if you are decent at multitasking) -PID w/ a shot timer as soon as the lever is pulled, it's a simple convenience, but it's really made that aspect of pulling a shot so much easier -drip tray has 2 level steel grate so if you're doing short shot glasses or cup, the espresso won't splash everywhere -steam wand and hot water wand have the teflon tube so it doesn't get hot -e61 group head -stainless steel boilers -you can plumb in or just use the water tank -the steam and hot water knobs have a spring in them so it spins easier, hard to explain but it's a very nice touch -it seems fairly easy to take apart if maintenance needs to be done -rotary motor means it's a lot quieter  Cons: -it takes more than 15 minutes to heat up, but you can just use one of those timers like the ones for holiday lights. (very small inconvenience) -double boilers are harder to descale -it's so heavy, but if you have open space, it shouldn't be a problem  i rarely give out 5 stars because i consider myself hard to please, but this is a no brainer for me. if you have the budget to drop on this machine, this is the one you pick in it's class.  if you have the budget to drop on this machine, this is the one you pick in it's class. Rocket R58, Quick Mill Lucca M58, Izzo Alex Duetto 3.0, these were all in my short list, but the Profitec Pro 700 eventually won me over. It was most definitely a splurge, but i feel confident that it will last me a very long time

Serious concerns about maintenance and longevity with a very tech driven machine. Runner up: Profitec 700 - can pull great shots, E61 group, solid manufacturer and longevity/reliability.

I started looking for pro-summer machine lately and landed on profitec-700.

It has all the features: dual boiler with PID, water line connection, great steaming power,  insolated steam and water wands and more

The Lina mini shares lots of this features, but its much more expensive. I was wandering why, outside of looks, that anyone would preface the Linea mini. I'm talking as home barista perspective, not commercial in any way.

My budget is $3k for a good dual boiler but man that linea mini has be doing a double take.
