 Hi guys, welcome to my best reviews I'm very excited today to be reviewing a mattress that I've been wanting to get into our test room for many months And it's the hybrid mattress by Purple Before I go ahead and unroll the mattress and set it up on our test bed, I just wanted to shout out to Purple This is how the mattress schemes are held. It's not in a carton box It's coming in a very unique plastic bag I guess that I'm actually going to keep and stuff with pillows and things for storage, but very unique looks great I just love the different look. Purple just always goes for different ideas. They're very innovative Company from Utah who are just in Salt Lake City and drove by their headquarters a ton just about a month ago, but Purple just does things differently

 It's not meant for anyone above the weight of 115 pounds So it's the first time that I learned this and my husband and I literally just jump on this and we're like This is the best thing ever So we're just ready to test sleep But we'll give it seven to ten nights to make sure that our bodies also adjust to that very unique Feel of it and that's one thing that I want to recommend if you switch From if you have a drastic difference in sleeping surfaces say you go from latex to foam or foam to the purple grid You'll just want to give your body a little while a little while to adapt to the new sleeping surface You might actually find that your body is aching the first few nights But give it three to four weeks for your body to fully adapt Because different muscles and different parts of your body's pressure will be relieved different muscles will need to activate or deactivate That you're not used to and it's almost like picking up a new sport You need to train your body to sleep on a new surface so don't automatically think that this mattress is not working for you if You find that the first few nights feel odd and you wake up with aches or just a different feeling in your body It's probably just your body getting used to the new sleeping surface So always give it at least 30 nights before you even consider returning a mattress To be fair to the mattress and be fair to your body So we'll be sleeping on this now for a week and let you guys know how we feel about the purple hybrid mattress Welcome back. I think just absolutely impressed with the way that it feels To give you an idea We're a couple that likes to sleep on their stomachs and backs and we typically like a firmer mattress And this one I just I can't even really describe the firmness level of it because it's unlike anything else we've ever sleep tested But I would give it maybe a six out of ten out of ten with tending the firmness mattress and zero being the softest One you just get an enormous amount of support and that's one thing that the coils obviously do Is bring you extra support so your body will Will will go down a little deep into the polymer and it will go deeper where you have higher pressure points Which is mostly going to be your shoulders and your hip areas Especially if you sleep on your side and then come the coils that give you a full Body support as well as support to your high pressure area So whatever goes in deeper still needs some sort of support and those coils are there to ensure that you get proper spinal alignment That you're sleeping in a supported position and that even if you're a little bit heavier weight You still get the support that you need to get to get a restful and healthy night of sleep So yeah, this is really a mattress that I could recommend to all sleeping types if you're a heavier stomach sleeper You know, you might just need to test it out I'm not a hundred percent sure that it would be the best mattress for you because you might just need something a little harder with more support But of all the purple mattresses if you want to go with a purple and get that very special feeling that's definitely going to be Your best choice if you're heavier weight and sleep on your stomach but like I said you feel like it's gonna be too soft and then you lay on it and somehow your Entire body weight is an evenly spread Which gives it a very unique feeling and that's the reason why You know purple is able to charge a little bit more money since it comes at a bit of a premium compared to other mattresses But you're not gonna get this anywhere else And remember, it's non-toxic. So, you know, feel free to put it in your room. You can put it in kids beds Very safely and and you'll get an amazing amount of pressure relief that will leave you feeling You know fresh and rested in the morning

 Purple just always goes for different ideas. I'll be calling my husband to help me set it up Just want to enjoy my bag, but their mattresses are going to be a little heavier unless you go with the kid mattress That's only about 43 pounds Linking the review video of the kid mattress that we reviewed a few days ago down below in the comment in the comment But this is the hydro mattress We'll be setting it up now and then giving you the full download on how we feel about it after our test night Unwrapping the Purple mattress was actually very easy I do recommend using a second adult just because of the weight and not wanting to bend your Your back or injure yourself, but in itself was really easy You just set it up on the bed and they actually give you that little knife tool that's super safe So that you don't nick into the mattress and you don't risk cutting through it So all you do is you know set it on the bed cut through it expands and it's actually reach its full potential Like instantly just probably because the purple grid doesn't need as much time as foam To raise up and this is the hybrid So before I even you know going to testing it and everything Let me just tell you a little bit more about what a hybrid mattress is for those that might not know A hybrid mattress will usually have in a classic hybrid mattress You'll have coils and then on top of it, you'll have several layers of foam and then you have your mattress cover Well, this is a purple mattress and purple uses the purple grid and they're the only ones to use it

Purple Hybrid Mattress Review

I recently bought the Purple Hybrid 2" mattress and quickly learned that it is way too firm for my fat, side-sleeping arse. My mom had been talking about wanting a latex topper, so I did some research of my own and ordered 3" soft toppers for her and for myself, from Sleep on Latex. HOLY. CRAP

This mattress looks well made, delivered in good time, but it’s not for me. Apparently I need to sleep on something much firmer, like maybe bricks. I’m in the beginning of the return process, and so far, it’s going very well. Excellent customer service

Just not for me

 However, the other components of the mattress, whether it's the original Purple or the Hybrids, are still foam and coils, so we can't really say that it's going to be more durable than other beds, but that polymer material itself is crazy durable. So if you couldn't tell, I really enjoy sleeping on the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 inch. I find all the Purple beds to be very comfortable, but this one is right in my sweet spot, especially when it comes to firmness, and this bed has a little bit more of that unique Purple feel in comparison to the original and the regular Purple Hybrid.  Now me personally, when I first laid down on a Purple mattress, I had a seriously positive reaction. I thought it was one of the most comfortable things I've ever tried. And after sleeping on it for a number of years, the novel feeling of the Purple mattress does tend to wear off a little bit, and now to me it just feels like a generally super comfortable bed. When I test out beds here that use more traditional materials like foam, I will definitely notice a difference between my Purple mattress and all these other beds

 I haven't noticed any sagging on the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 inch, and when it was brand new, we found it to be just about a medium on our firmness scale, and it's still around a medium today. And it's really perfect for me as a medium because I'm a combination sleeper who spends most of the night on my side, and my partner is also a primary side sleeper who spends some of the night on her stomach, and it works great for both of us. When it comes to long-term durability, though, Purple does like to brag on their website that their beds are way more durable than their competitors, and we can say that the hyper-elastic polymer material itself, the Purple Grid, is super durable. You can stretch that like 10 times its resting state, and it'll snap back into its original shape almost immediately

 I find all the Purple beds to be very comfortable, but this one is right in my sweet spot, especially when it comes to firmness, and this bed has a little bit more of that unique Purple feel in comparison to the original and the regular Purple Hybrid. Purple Mattress Review - AFTER 3 YEARS (Honest Opinion)

I  HATE shopping for mattresses/beds. I believe that the retail mattress  industry is full of deception and is rigged to overcharge the consumer.

We  needed a new bed and I did some research which lead me to several  models sold by Costco. We also did some in-person shopping at mattress  stores which was horrible. One place the salesperson literally stood in  front of the exit and told us he could not take no for an answer.

Today  I walked into my Costco and purchased a Novaform Comfort Grand Plus for  $499 plus tax. I loaded it into my own car, and total time that I was  away from home was less than 30 minutes. And I know that if this bed  does not fit our needs, Costco will make it easy to return. One of the  mattress stores said they would only take returns AFTER 30 days have  passed. Well that would really suck if I was forced to sleep on an  uncomfortable mattress for 30 days. Many mattress stores simply do not  allow refunds. I would love a Sleep Number bed, but their high pressure  sales tactics and the constantly shifting price completely turned me off  to that product.

Costco has taken one of the most painful consumer buying experiences and turned it into a painless and quick process

 But it is not all it is cracked up to be. It began to sag after only about 2 weeks.. And it is too cold to sleep on without some added padding next to the mattress

Too cold feeling to sleep in comfort and it does sag early on.  Far too pricey for the quality.

 We literally get into our bed every night and we're like, I love our bed so much. I'm so happy with our bed. Side note, we got linen sheets recently, like linen instead of cotton or even bamboo and they are so nice. They're a pretty penny to purchase if you get 100% linen sheets, but between the linen sheets and our Purple Mattress, oh my gosh, we are sleeping in a cloud of heaven every night

 The long-term gain and benefit of this mattress totally outweigh those initial first impression negative impressions that I had and we are super happy to this day with our purchase. We love our bed so much. We've had it for six months and although six months might not sound like a long time, there's absolutely no sign of dipping whatsoever. My husband is around 230 pounds and even his side, which always dipped first with our previous mattresses are showing no signs of dipping whatsoever
