QKZ VK4

I saw some reviews in an onlines store that a few people who owned QKZ VK4 say its better than the KZ Pros. I'm open for other suggestions. Im not really a bass head so bass isn't a problem for me.

Everything just sounded so right and wide sounding with so much detail. I absolutely love these and don't see myself getting other headphones unless I am truly wowed with them.

:) These are the best sounding KZs at the $20 or less price range, hands down. These aren't harsh nor as sibilant as the ZSN Pro X, maybe because this has all DD vs the DD+BA hybrid of the ZSN Pro X. Bass is boomy, the highs are also boosted, which is expected of V-shaped IEMs but they don't hurt my ears and I can raise the volume more without distortion and more sibilance. They sound so great that my 1st DQ6 was "force traded" by my wife for her VK4, which is the one I have mentioned earlier.

My current go-to pair for long listening sessions is the QKZ VK4. They're tonally great (I'm aware that some QKZ VK4's are bass cannons but what I was given are not) with decent amount of everything to not cause too much fatigue even if I listen to it for some time. Note on "not too much fatigue" as the fatigue is still there.

Coming from KZ ES4, Moondrop Quarks, QKZ VK4 (new model unfortunately) and other cheap, not worth mentioning IEMs and would like to upgrade or have a sidegrade from these. I will also have a pair of CCA CRA that are on their way, ordered before the KZ debacle, but I don't expect them to be much more different that what was previously mentioned. On the TWS side, QCY T5, Soundpeats TWS and the most recent one Sony WF-1000XM3 (like the tuning, hate the fit).

From the ones I bought I can recommend to you: TRN V90, KZ ED9, Rock Zircon, QKZ VK4. All of them sound really good for their price, and all of them are comfortable - the TRN V90 are a little bulky for my ears, but are still fine, but its sound quality is excellent. What I would recommend for starter/beater IEMs though is the QKZ VK4 but just be aware that they have QC issues; you have a chance to get complete bass cannons, the good ones though have very nice tuning. If I was asked for an alternative to the KZ ZSN Pro X, I would suggest the KZ DQ6 as these are what I got after getting the ZSN Pro X.

The QKZ VK4's price will depend on your location and it has replaceable cables. The stock cables are fine but if you want to replace them into something of an aesthetic upgrade, there are plenty of 0.75mm 2-pin type B cables with 3.5mm jack available online.

Get T2 Pros or QKZ VK4 + better cable, but beware VK4s need a bit of power so if you don't own a $200+ DAP already(cheaper FiiO M3 Pro can also run them fine) wouldn't recommend them for $50 range if you gonna listed it from your phone, but hey, they are $10-15 anyway + $5 to $30 depending how much you wanna spend on a cable.
