Not the best sounding speaker, but great for the price. I just tried a QSC CP8, returned it and kept my Yamahas. Actually didn't care as much for the CP8 sound. Oh, and I always heard "no highs, no lows, must be Bose"

I got some really good recs from yall on a PA speaker for live shows! Looking into the QSC Cp8s and love them but they are a little pricey… would these Bose S1 Pros be worth the $100 less? I know Bose has good sound but not sure the reviews on this PA speaker so any feedback would be amaZing 🤞

Tough little loud speakers. Bought a used QSC CP8, was not impressed. DBR10 is louder and sounded better for less money.

I'm looking to buy a PA to go with my keyboard (Roland Juno DS88) for gigs and band rehearsal uses and am deciding between the TS310 or the DBR10. The TS310 is a cheaper option for me and I've heard some really good reviews about it considering its price point. On the other hand the DBR10 is by Yamaha and I've also heard a lot of praise about it as well. 

Is there a clear favourite between the two for the situation I'm using it for? The TS310 is almost half the price of the DBR10 and it'd be nice to save some money!

QSC CP8 fits you budget, sounds excellent, and gets loud enough. If it doesn’t get “louder than drums on stage” then you’re already experiencing permanent hearing damage from exposure to unsafe SPLs. I can carry two of them in the same box I used to transport one 10” wedge.

I’m think that the ”wedge format” is preferable and size should be at least 12”. Something to consider is that the monitor should be able to get louder than drums on stage. It doesn't need to be fancy just get the job done. Portability is key since i might have to get one for every member of the band.

looking for a lightweight and small passive speaker that's good enough to be used as a monitor for band practice and small shows.

I'm wondering if the QC might work with my situation or if the axe fx would be better (or neither). I'm currently in grad school, and so I frequently go back and forth between home and my apartment where my school is (several hours away). In the past, I've either brought an amp and pedalboard to run with my small 1x12 that I keep at home or I've just brought my guitar home. I'm pretty sick of lugging this stuff back and forth (or not having anything to play through) so I've recently started wondering if the QC could be a solution here. Ideally, I would just run this thing through my guitar cab that I keep at home. However, I looked at the manual and it sounds like it needs to be run into a computer with studio monitors (which I don't have at home) or an FRFR cab, which would defeat the purpose since it would no longer be portable. And there's no way I'm buying 2 FRFR cabs. Is there a way to bypass the IR portion and just plug it straight into a cab? I heard if you do that, you still have to run it into a poweramp, which would be weird since it already has a poweramp sim on there. 

It looks like the axe fx allows you to plug straight into a cab, but I'm wondering how portable the axe fx is really. On top of that, I just generally favor the QC because it looks so easy to use whereas the axe fx looks like a menu diving nightmare to me.

Clearly, I need more info. Wondering what people do if they don't have access to an FRFR cab.

Running the Quad Cortex (or Axe FX) with a guitar cab?

  In other words, the CP8's have rounded out my dimensions for live music.  They sound great.  I'm good.

I would definitely buy this loud speaker again.

  While the DBR10 and K10 sounded very close, the CP8 actually has better bass response than the DBR10.  You might conclude correctly that I like to play but I don't like to carry more equipment than I need to.

Light, Loud, Clear, Compact, Excellent Bass Response

 If it sounds good to you and your audience be satisfied. Eventually will get a second one when I start gigging again.

 I just recently downsized to the digital age and man I am not disappointed. This thing is tiny, but with the right impulse response packs a massive punch. I play rhythm guitar for my heavy alt band and always get compliments for my tone with my Marshall paired with my Orange 212, but was honestly scared to replicate the same tone. I now use the Pod Go Revv Red with the IR I made from ML Sound Labs Mikko plug in and it sounds massive

All I can say is "wow". I used this as my FRFR speaker for my Line 6 Pod ago. I just recently downsized to the digital age and man I am not disappointed. This thing is tiny, but with the right impulse response packs a massive punch
