The ease of accessing machine functions from the front and center display. You know, I've programmed a lot of Pids with those plus and minus buttons and this is by far my favorite

5 millimeters in height. Should it go again, that's probably never going to happen, but if it did, all that water is going to end up outside into the drip tray. Our group head here. All the brass in this machine, by the way, is certified lead-free and the Italian standards are actually tighter than most of the Us standards, right? here

 I'll share what we like about the Silvia Pro and what to be aware of before you buy, and I'll finish up under the hood with a detailed look at internal components. Now that'll be from our original look at the pro model, but the Pro and Pro X are essentially identical internally. This is going to be a bit of a ride, but stick with me and you'll know this machine inside and out. Review: Rancilio Silvia Pro X Espresso Machine

A good option (s) would be a Gaggia Classic Pro or Rancillio Silvia with a good grinder (Niche or Eureka Mignon (the new single doser or a Specialista [there are mods to make it a single doser]).

Im looking to buy a good espresso machine for home use under 2000$. I was checking on breville and saw that the machine breaks down after 2 years of use. Please give any recommendations for machine that wont break down and last long!

Hello all, I am an espresso lover that runs on coffee (5-6 shots per day). I just came back from 2 months in Italy and looking to finally get a decent set up at home as I know I’m gonna miss my ristrettos too much. 

What would you recommend for someone that is new to a real espresso machine and drinks mostly short espresso shots (milk would be only for guests) in the $1000-$2000 range?

I’m not on a tight budget so I can go over if it’s worth it but also don’t want to break the bank for my dream brand (La Marzocco).

First set-up in the $2000 range

After years of hesitation, I finally took the plunge. I already owned a Rancilio grinder and this is my second semi-automatic espresso machine. I decided on the 2020 version because of energy efficiency, the black covering on the housing (to limit fingerprints) and group head plus it comes with a real tamper (not a piece of plastic). To me that was worth the $60 price difference

 The machine looks great, is compact (which is my number 1 reason not to get a double boiler) and I am very happy with the purchase. I fully expected to "learn" for a while and I think my game will improve a lot. The build of the machine seems rock solid with the exception of the sheet of steel used for the cover, which I don't believe will change anything. The water tank and cover are rock solid, the drip tray and cover are very well built and the knob, switches and steam arm all feel like higher quality bits

Not too sure how much I have to spend to get a good machine? I currently have a barista express that I’m decently happy with but it’s a little bit faulty, only works in manual brew mode now (so I won’t buy another breville).

Would a Gaggia classic pro be good, or do I need a heat exchanger? I definitely want something on the smaller side, no like massive commercial sized machine. I like the Mara not having to flush, but at the same time the ECM build quality seems amazing.

I finally scored a Niche, help me choose a machine? Looking at Gaggia classic, Lelit Mara X, ECM V Slim, etc

 It does take practice to use it in order to get the grind right and to froth the milk. The practice is worth it because it makes the BEST tasting cappuccino I've ever had!  To make the Rancilio much easier to use, 11 years ago I also purchased a so-called PID temperature controller made by Auber. You can see it attached in my photo. It sets the desired temperature of both the brewing water and the steam

My 13 year old V4 Rancilio still makes great tasting cappuccino and is worth the effort

I'm impressed with this little thing. Pressure out of the box is just right. The steam wand is jet engine powerful. Heats up fairly quickly for its class
