Razer Blade 14

I finally got a chance to trouble-shoot a couple weeks ago during a visit and it appears the 3070 (2021 Razer Blade 14) failed. Fortunately the integrated graphics still work, so the laptop is usable. Contacted help support, they started a warranty return, since my son needs a laptop in college I asked about getting a new laptop sent ahead of time (with a credit card hold for it) and they agreed that was an option.

I really liked this laptop at first but I guess that's because I didn't do any video editing yet at that point. The portability is great and for a regular laptop to do light gaming and regular tasks like research, word, watching youtube, then this is the laptop for that although the price point does...

Although the palm rest is a little bit warm, I think it is totally acceptable. The battery life also seems to be really good. It can last at least 6 hours when not playing games or doing any intensive works, or even more, from what I can see. Wanting a light and portable device, I will keep the Razer Blade 14 for coding and writing papers away from home.

I went and found the Razer Blade 14 in stock and pulled the trigger on that, cancelling my P1 order. I was leaning towards the 15 since it has upgradable RAM (14 is soldered), but it's a work computer and I don't need to be messing with that, and it was half a pound heavier at 4.5 lbs as opposed to the 4 lbs of the 14" model.

This thing was a great little powerhouse of a machine. I bought it with the idea of using it for schoolwork and some gaming on the side when I want to hang out in the living room with my partner.
