In terms of gaming features, this keyboard is a bit lacking. The latency is best suited for casual gaming rather than fast-paced gaming, and the rubber dome switches are fairly heavy to press, so they don't feel as snappy and responsive as the mechanical switches in the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition. That said, for a cheap keyboard, it's still a solid-performing unit, and the RGB customization hits above its weight.

0 port to power on and is equipped with a lengthy wire to do so. The keyboard itself has no real added functionality outside of what keyboards are meant to do. There are no extra macro keys other than your basic function keys however it does offer media keys which was nice to see on the board. The kickstand on the bottom holds up nice providing stable solid support

 It just seemed like to me only 10 people out of 1000 will ever spend the time to customize to that extent that they offer. I'll stick to my static colors that match my desk. I like my blue and I like my red. Other than that no problems with software speed or navigation

 Being that there are no macro keys I didn't have to get into that for this keyboard. I did however find an audio visualizer RGB simulator effect. It makes your keyboard's lights become an audio meter that responds to noises and music with RGB light of your choice. The Razer Sonosa offers a decent keyboard with a few fun RGB features and the added benefit of exceptionally comfortable keys

 After using it for a while I really wish there was a wrist cushion which has turned into something that I specifically look for when buying a keyboard. Given that the cushion wasn't there I wish there was an extended bottom piece at least to rest on. Still for what is here I have a problem with the size of the keyboard I do wish it was a bit larger but hey I do know that everyone likes different size keyboards but it types words and letters just as you need it to. The keys of the Sonosa were fairly silent when compressed making me miss more silent keyboards especially when filming podcasts and other videos where I may need to type off camera

Razer Cynosa V2 RGB Keyboard Review - Razer's Best Selling Keyboard ... But Why?

 I love the multimedia keys, the lighting options (I attached a video that shows you can sync the lights with whatever sounds you have going on) the feel of the keyboard and the keys themselves. The whole keyboard is soft against your skin, doesn't make a lot of noise (other than mine that squeaks) and the keys feel sturdy.  The lighting options are a lot of fun, you can have a static color while having a "visualization" going with Chroma Visualizer that you install through Razer Synapse. The brightness is adjustable along with the colors, effects, etc

  I didn't buy another Corsair K95 because it's the second one I've bought where the spacebar stops working around 6 months to a year, and I don't use the macro keys. It felt like the only reasons I had it were because of the pretty lights and switches, something a lot of keyboards have, so I did some research for a different one.  The Razer Cynosa V2 is the only one I could find that had the lighting options I wanted, a dedicated multimedia area and 10 key. I sacrificed mechanical switches because I simply couldn't find something that had it all

  I can't speak to the "spill-resistant design" as I'll be returning this, but with any keyboard, there's room under the keys for spills to get in to. There's not some magical hand that flies up and slaps the drink away that's about to assault your keyboard, so I can only assume that "spill-resistant" is due to the material.

  The Razer Cynosa V2 is the only one I could find that had the lighting options I wanted, a dedicated multimedia area and 10 key. I sacrificed mechanical switches because I simply couldn't find something that had it all. I was scared there would be a huge difference in my typing but thankfully I haven't had an issue, I got used to this keyboard pretty fast.  I'm on day 6, I use it for about 8 - 15 hours a day, and a majority of the keys already have light squeaking

 But if you're more so looking towards the mechanical feeling, this keyboard isn't the best. Here's a quick sound test. Now when it comes to customizing RGBs, all that is done through Razer Synapse and every single key here is lit individually, which is a nice touch just to make the RGB pop a little more compared to its competitors like the Logitech G213. You do have the option from 11 preset choices in Razer Synapse, and you can also customize the RGB to your own liking as well

 Now if I had to make a V3 of this keyboard, the one thing I would do is add a little bit of aluminum on the front of the keyboard to give it just a little bit more of that premium feeling. Even though it may increase the price of the keyboard by just a little bit, I feel like the fact that it's more premium now, it goes a long way. But overall, Razer did very well at making a fair, affordable, budget gaming keyboard. With that being said, if you stuck around till the end of the video, a like and subscribe is greatly appreciated

 Another cool thing that this keyboard has is that you do have options for wiring. You can control which side you want the wire to come off of just to make the footprint a little nicer when it's on your desk. Now going back to the top of the keyboard in the right hand corner, you do also have some dedicated media keys. Now personally, I am a big fan of the media keys in the corner because I don't really like pressing function F something to either turn the volume up, down, and the fact that it's all in the right hand corner, it's pretty nice

 Now when it comes to customizing RGBs, all that is done through Razer Synapse and every single key here is lit individually, which is a nice touch just to make the RGB pop a little more compared to its competitors like the Logitech G213. Now when it came to my experiences using this keyboard, they've been so-so in the sense that I love the customization of the RGBs.   The software that is installed is a little lacking. In my case, it ran with a constant half gig of memory and abnormally high CPU usage until I messed with the settings. Additionally the software WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE the keyboard when I started up my computer and I had to unplug and plug it back in in order for the custom backlighting and macros to start working. Those features are what I think makes this keyboard so handy so having to manually set them up every time is annoying

 Razer Synapse has a history of not responding to customer complaints, constantly crashing, a lot of bloatware, and in a few cases making some games unplayable. With a motto of "By Gamers, for Gamers", it's ironic that the software would have these glaring bugs.  All in all, the keyboard is great if you don't want to use any of the custom settings. I would suggest looking at a different keyboard if you do like custom backlighting and macros

 Maybe a Razer keyboard with onboard storage would be able to avoid the pitfalls of the software, but I don't think I would buy a keyboard from Razer because of the software issues. I will probably be returning this item.

Great Product, Horrible Software

 And all the indicator lights are just above the arrow keypad. Razer did an awesome job with the backlighting here, which is really no surprise these days. Keys are individually backlit and powered by Razer Chroma that you can configure using their Synapse software. There's the usual list of presets from Razer, and also the option to customize your own effects if you want to

 But this is still a nice feature, and I always prefer keyboards with multimedia keys over those that don't have anything at all. And there's also a few quick access features on the function layer, including macro recording, game mode, and backlight brightness. And all the indicator lights are just above the arrow keypad. Razer did an awesome job with the backlighting here, which is really no surprise these days

 The lighted multimedia keys are the ONLY reason why I'm trying to get accustomed to this kb (the Alloy seriously misfired in their layout and not making the light up).

 This is a solid choice but after I have already tried the competition (Alloy Core RGB) I have to say that the feedback on this one is quite lacking. The Alloy Core has nothing to envy to mechanical keyboards in terms of feedback, it is that good, but this one hardly gives you any feedback at all. So far it hasn't been an issue, the keys you press are pressed so it's not like you don't get to type accurately but man does it feel cheaper without that feedback. It's old school membrane and that's a tragedy

I'm torn, I'm looking for a full size keyboard that also has multimedia keys. Mechanical keyboards are way too loud for me so I went down the path of trying some "high quality" membrane keyboards with these characteristics. This is a solid choice but after I have already tried the competition (Alloy Core RGB) I have to say that the feedback on this one is quite lacking.  I don't like the fact that you need an app to customize most of it's settings other than the brightness and I won't install the official app (I'm on Linux, we have an open source app that does everything the official app does without keylogging you). Anyways, I'll keep using it, see how it goes and update this review accordingly. As of now though, feedback is sorely lacking or, well, nonexistent, and I'm not even a mech keyboard snob.  I do wish that they used the more durable material just to make it look and feel a little bit better. However I do like that it does have like this angle here and it gives it this cool low profile look. And now some good things I really liked about this keyboard that I thought were definitely a good selling point. The next great thing about this keyboard were the RGB lights

 You get a left path, a center path, and a right path and this is going to be nice because when you actually route your cable to the proper place it's going to make your desk setup look cleaner and it's going to prevent any cable tugging and possibly damage the keyboard. And while we're on the back of the keyboard you also have two legs that are adjustable and they have two options for it to prop up. You get a 6 degree angle and a 9 degree angle. And that's going to be good for a better typing experience and it's going to give you a more ergonomic feel so you don't get any restraint while using the keyboard for long periods of time

 And now some good things I really liked about this keyboard that I thought were definitely a good selling point. The next great thing about this keyboard were the RGB lights. They felt very bright and vivid and they didn't feel cheap or anything like that and I do like that they included the software that you can download and you can really customize the lights and patterns to your liking. And the last good thing about this keyboard was the price

 So my first impressions when actually pulling the keyboard out of the box was that I really like the low profile design especially with the ramp over here it kind of gives it that aggressive vibe and I was digging the vibes, definitely a fan here. Now most mechanical keyboards out there have a pretty tall build and this thing is not a mechanical keyboard and it's going to sit a little bit lower on your desk and I'm kind of a fan of more low profile keyboards because you don't really have to lift your wrists really high when actually typing on the keyboard because it kind of gives you some restraint or at least for me it does. Now the build quality with this keyboard isn't exactly spectacular like some of Razer's other keyboards that they've recently released however for a budget keyboard I would say the build quality is definitely good enough to the point where you really can't complain. The base of the keyboard is made of a plastic material and if you rub your fingers on it you can feel this bumpy texture

 Sometimes I have to restart my PC because even restarting Synapse doesn't make the keyboard play nice.  TL;DR, PROS: -pretty colors and nice customization -quiet  CONS: -Razer app will randomly decide not to work, your macros won't work until you restart -paint chipping off of buttons  Overall: if macros are important to you and you haven't already committed to Razer yet, maybe look into other brands first. If you can't be bothered about macros and aesthetics, this is an okay keyboard. I probably won't be buying this again

 This is a fairly quiet, nice feeling, pretty keyboard. The colors and color setting options are very nice. Orange is the hardest color to set up right - it either looks like red or yellow. As far as durability, I've only had this for 2 months and the black paint is already chipping off of the buttons

You have full control over the behaviour of the visualiser, with the options of setting the background and visualisation mode. Although the software can be a little intimidating due to its complexity, it's very useful once you get the hang of it. There is comprehensive single-key remapping, including multimedia, macros and program launch

 I also love the soft and gentle sound of this keyboard. The soft cushion keys have a nice muted bottom-out sound. You don't run into mechanical keyboard problems like metal, ping, and rattle. I even reach the top speed of 136mph

 The RGB shines through very nicely, and the plastic plungers don't block any of the light, which is sometimes the case with membrane boards. The underglow literally makes it look like the keycaps are floating, and the keyboard really has that wow factor. There are 11 colour modes accessible with the software, and you can also activate the visualiser to sync the RGB with games and audio. If that doesn't satisfy your RGB needs, you can fire up the Chroma Studio, where you can create your own RGB modes
