 I also game at night sometimes. So being able to change the different colors to different waves is a lot of fun and it just like adds a lot to it. The latency is also another area that is very important and by committing to a wireless setup for a flagship keyboard, it seems like Razer has that down. They have the option to use the USB dongle, which is usually my method of preference because I do have a lot of devices

 So there are the legs right here, and you can also have it raised a little bit higher depending on the height of your desk and what is an optimal typing angle for you. But I also love the fact that there is a media roller on the top right here to quickly be able to change certain functions, but also customizes specific to which feature that you're going to use the most. I personally really like having RGBs. I mean, I work at night

0 is still super fast. And being able to easily switch between different devices, whether it is like a tablet, maybe even a smartphone is really handy, especially when you're at your desk setup. If you guys are looking for a great flagship hybrid keyboard, this is one that comes in at a price point that definitely demands flagship standards. And I can tell you that from a feature standpoint and all of the different details that are needed to meet that price point, Razer has absolutely checked off a lot of boxes here

 So as you scroll up and change your volume, for example, the roller is also clickable. It is all very responsive and you also have like a play pause type button right here and every aspect of a flagship keyboard that you would expect is very well put together. The keys themselves are available in two different types of mechanisms. There's a Razer low profile optical switch, which is the linear one, and it has an actuation point of 1

Low profile keyboard?

 The low profile keycaps make a huge difference for me in terms of comfort and maybe even a little bit in speed. The media controls are nice and the built in macros are neat.  The software is, for me, where things start going downhill. Unless I keep the software running, my keyboard lighting will default to some boring static setting that's built in the keyboard

  And to make it just a little more annoying, the power saving "features" on this keyboard make it so you get to wait a couple seconds for the keyboard to "wake up". By itself, this wouldn't be too bad, but coupled with the fact that it's done to preserve battery life..

 No, I am not leaving it on, or a button pressed, or anything like that. This keyboard is being used exactly how every other wireless keyboard I've used where the battery would last much much longer.  And to make it just a little more annoying, the power saving "features" on this keyboard make it so you get to wait a couple seconds for the keyboard to "wake up". By itself, this wouldn't be too bad, but coupled with the fact that it's done to preserve battery life

Unless you like constantly having to charge your wireless keyboard (making it wired)

 Now if you don't know already, Hypershift basically allows you to assign extra key presses to other keys, this means that you can change the keyboard layout so that you can have a secondary layer of actions in there so that when Hypershift is activated you could actually set up a completely different thing whether that's a macro or a different key press or something else, this would mean that when you're pressing and holding the caps lock if we've assigned that as the Hypershift button then the other buttons become something else, this is essentially similar to what you do with the function key and pressing the print screen button for example but it means that you can assign your own software level within Synapse. This is really useful on something small like this on a TKL keyboard where you've lost a numpad and you don't have any dedicated macro keys, it means you can set up and program a lot of other things in here with relative ease. You'll see there's lots of different choices here so I'm not going to go into a lot of different depth on it but you can basically go through all sorts of things from setting it to launch a program, having a Windows shortcut set up on the Hypershift and other things, so just a couple of key presses but this is a really cool feature of this keyboard and other Razer devices to basically be able to switch between standard layout and then Hypershift layout with those secondary actions, really nice. In here in the lighting section you'll see as standard it's set to 50%, as I said that's what the Razer says about the amount of battery you can get out of it, if you put it down to zero obviously you'll get longer, if you put it up to maximum you'll go a lot less, you can adjust the various different effects in here so you'll see you have some standard quick effects which just apply to the keyboard itself in various different ways and you have different lighting effects in there or you can go into studio and program a lot more

 In this video I'm going to be unboxing and talking about the various different features of the Deathstalker V2 Pro TKL and why it's nice and showing the highlights of it. Now there are some slightly different specs between this and the full size version, the TKL one for example gets a little bit more battery life, the full size V2 Pro gets 40 hours or 10 days based on four hours of use per day, and the TKL can get up to 50 hours or 12 days based on four hours. So a little bit more battery life because it has less keys, and that's because you have per key RGB illumination, but you also have optical switches, so every key on the keyboard has an optical light beam, which needs to be present in order to register the clicks of your presses, and therefore requires more power for each of the keys, and that's why the full size keyboard doesn't last as long as the TKL, so that's an interesting point to start with. Obviously the TKL gives you a smaller form factor keyboard, which means it takes up less space on your desk

 This might change in future obviously, Synapse could get updated but at the current point this is what it's like. So overall a really nice keyboard, really nice premium finish, good lighting, really comfortable to type on, great gaming experience from my point of view and one of the best TKLs that I've tried and you're paying a big premium for it but you are getting optical keys with really good response and a very nice premium design that includes a number of nice things about it. It's worth quickly mentioning as I've not said already that you can see in here that the media wheel works as volume up and volume down when you roll it up and down but you can also push it in to mute it and the playback button next to that basically press that once to play, press it again to pause, double tap it and it'll skip onto the next track if you're on Spotify for example or triple tap it and it'll rewind so you have lots of functions in just those two buttons there so that's really nice. This has been The Provoked Prawn, stick around now to hear the sound test

The RGB lighting is actually really good on this, in past Razer keyboards that I've used I've found that they're a bit underwhelming because the etching isn't quite as nice, that's usually a problem with PBT because it is ABS, actually shines through quite well and you get some really nice effects out of it with relative ease and this is nice that you have the ability to customize it, obviously something with reactive for example so when you're pressing the keys the keyboard then reacts to your key presses and you can also customize it for rippling effects so it ripples across the keyboard, could be distracting but you can see that you can also change the various different colors of it so it might be that you choose to have it as that classic Razer green or you might go through various different other effects in there. You can also set it to dim the lighting and have a power saving mode you'll see that it will, device will turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity, bit weird that you can't go lower than that really because that's quite a long time if you've walked away from your keyboard to carry on there but you can set it so it will dim after two minutes so at least if you're not touching and using it it will go into a lower state of lighting which will then save some power

I realize I'm functionally asking between optical and mechanical keyboards, but I thought it was worth asking how people felt about these two boards to decide which I will be going to add to my set with my blade and Basilisk V3 Pro.

I'll be honest and say that I tend to prefer tactile switches, but I remember the blackwidow greens and yellows both being particularly mushy back in the day. Likewise, while I don't have a lot of with the Deathstalker, I did love the G915 when I had it.

So with that said, which board do y'all think I should go for, or what's your experience with them?

Blackwidow V3 Hyperspeed or Deathstalker V2 Pro?

 You'll need a thinner wrist rest (IMO) when you BUY ONE YOURSELF so just keep that in mind lol.  -Price again lmao  -Typing? I don't know what to call this one but hear me out.  Coming from my old Razer Ornata, the typing experience on this thing is just.

 I set the brightness to about 35% (honestly more than bright enough IMO) on the classic vapor-wave color scheme and it lasts me forever, at LEAST three full working/play days, ~15hours/day. Side note the RGB shines through the keys (and underneath) beautifully.  -The general aesthetic, look & feel and overall build quality seems very good to me. Pretty impressed by how compact this full-sized keyboard is, keycaps "feel" good

Preface: I'm a software dev and needed a new keyboard. I wanted something I could swap between my MacBook & PC on the fly. Pretty long review so sorry in advance.  Pros: -Battery life is great

 And they also paid attention to something that's been a bit of a pet peeve of mine when it comes to backlighting on keyboards and that's completely even lighting. And what's nice is that even the keys with a secondary legend, you're gonna be able to see very clearly because those are equally as lit as the primary legend. So literally across the board, all the Laser X keys will have an equal amount of glow under the caps so the keys are completely legible from any angle. But now let's dive into the features

 It just has the Razer name at the bottom of the keyboard. This will help it to fit into any setup but when you want that gamer mode to activate you of course have the built in RGB lights. The Deathstalker V2 Pro has Razer's first low profile optical switches which provides really quick actuation. I'm gonna throw up a few specs so you can know exactly what to expect from a more nerdy point of view

 And one side note about the keys here, Razer actually put a special coating on them so they're more resistant to oily fingers like my own, scratching and fading. This is something I'm happy to see a manufacturer pay attention to because I have plenty of keyboards with pretty worn out left halves of the space bar. And they also paid attention to something that's been a bit of a pet peeve of mine when it comes to backlighting on keyboards and that's completely even lighting. And what's nice is that even the keys with a secondary legend, you're gonna be able to see very clearly because those are equally as lit as the primary legend

 There are a lot of options and colors you can choose from and you can build some really intricate designs if you have the time for it. I have a particular look I like my boards to have and I was able to do it no problem here. And I got to say, I like the way the lighting comes through on this board, even in bright environments. I usually like Razer's green or purple switches, which are a little bit more clicky, but these, this keyboard has a nice feel to it

NEW Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro Unboxing & Overview!

This keyboard is the perfect Middle ground between typing and gaming. There is a bit of mushiness going on with some of the key presses but overall it's been a pleasant experience. Gaming using the 2.4 GHz dongle has been snappy and fast and I feel no noticeable latency between that and my other wired keyboard

 They are so good for typing, schoolwork, gaming. Again, you don't get many typos on us like you'd think with, say, an Apex Pro or something with really, really fast switches. These are very comparable to Cherry Silver's as far as speed. Not sound and feel by any means, but as far as speeds
