 Now 64GB might not be a lot today obviously you know apps are so huge but with that expandable memory all the way up to 1TB you will definitely benefit from more storage by using a micro SD card slot. I'm just going to lower the volume and you can see that it's actually quite responsive over here. You don't have any lags and once more I think the key highlight here is really about the app launch speeds which is actually quite fast. So I'm going to get out of here right now

 Now you might notice that a couple of months ago Realme actually launched their Realme Pad which was their first tablet. So this is actually sort of a follow up to that particular tablet but it comes in a very very small form factor. Now before we check out the device itself, let's actually find out what actually came in the box because it's actually quite surprising. We have the tablet itself but we also have the charger together with the cable in the box

 You don't have any lags and once more I think the key highlight here is really about the app launch speeds which is actually quite fast. So I'm going to get out of here right now. I'm not going to go through the game again. I'm going to go and jump back into let's see my Chrome browser again

I'd prefer an android tablet since I'm primarily a Google/Microsoft user but doesn't seem like there's an option out there. Anyone have a recommendation for something I may have missed?

Small Tablet Recommendation?

Really Nice Device.

7 inch IPS screen only has a 1340x800 resolution or equal to 179ppi. There's no screen protector pre-installed, and there's no mention of any special glass protection. It's not high res, so if your eyes are accustomed to screens with higher resolutions, you'll definitely notice the pixels. It can get really bright and has dark mode and eye comfort features, although it's not bright enough to handle the bright outdoors

 It features an 8.7 inch screen on the front with relatively thin bezels, although the top and bottom parts are a bit thicker. Which is fine as we can rest our thumbs there when holding it in landscape. Just above the screen is the 5 megapixel front camera, which makes it intended to be used more in the portrait orientation

 Providing power to the realme Pad Mini is a 6400mAh battery with 18W fast charging and support for wired reverse charging. When used mostly for browsing social media and watching videos, it can last for more than a day. PCMark's battery test rated the battery at 8 hours and 36 minutes, which is not bad, but the actual experience is longer than that. The realme Pad Mini is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front

 But if you want better quality, the use of a wired headset or external speakers is still recommended. Performance is okay for its caliber. I don't notice any hiccups when navigating the UI or launching a few apps. It functions like any decent device, as long as it's not games or running plenty of apps in the background

I recently downgraded to a dumpphone but will be needing a tablet for work. As I have been researching, it seems that the smallest tablet that is still viable is at least 10 inches. Are there any others out there that I am missing that are smaller and still serviceable? 

I do not need anything super fancy, at most I will be running music or podcasts while reading an article or ebook. It does not have to be lighting fast either while searching the web but not unbearably slow, either.

Small tablets in 2022??

Nice Android Tablet

 Now, the Realme Pad Mini comes with an 8.7-inch WXGA Plus display with a 1340 x 800 resolution, or in other words, HD+. Now, the fact that this is not a full HD Plus panel did not sit right with me at first, but eventually I grew on to ignore it, and now it does not really bother me. And to be honest, considering the price segment, it kind of makes sense

 An 8.7-inch screen size is just great. And see, size matters, okay. 10 inches is an overkill

 Yeah, fast charging. Anyway, like, leave the fast part aside, it's still good enough for the price segment, considering that the major cost is covered by the tablet itself. And my major focus was anyway on the battery life. And in my testing, I was able to take the Realme Pad Mini from 100% to about 10%, 8% to 10% after about 10 hours of binge watching content on Netflix

 Ask anyone. I mean, like, if this was black color, I would be calling it a big black tablet. Tablet. What were you thinking? Anyway, speaking of which, let's talk about the display itself

For Christmas, my partners given me a £200 budget for a tablet. 

What I would be using it for is to designs for my cricut (design space, making stickers and t-shirt designs etc..), as well as general games and editing pictures and posts for social media. 

I would love for it to have a Pen. Or one compatible with a pen that I could get later on. 

One thing I don't want is an Apple. I'd want an android compatible one, most likely a Samsung if possible.

Tablet Recommendations

 Likewise, this matte finish at the back ensures that you won't struggle with fingerprints or smudges either. However, I would recommend wrapping it around a case or cover since my unit already has dents here. Under the backplate is a 6400mAh battery, large enough to last you through your favorite series or podcast sessions for hours. I have been using it for more than 2 weeks now and I am yet to drain its battery entirely before bedtime

 Even the core quality of the screen is not on par with the IPS panels you will find on smartphones these days. So it's apparent that Realme went with an inferior panel on this tablet as you can easily notice the lack of saturation when watching movies or just general web browsing. But to make matters a little less terrible, there's a feature called Video Display Enhancement in the settings, which makes the content look brighter and more vivid. Then again, it is limited to select Google apps such as YouTube and photos only

 Obviously, it's not an AMOLED panel and I was not expecting one either, but this 8.7 inches IPS screen is accompanied by just HD plus resolution, which means contents don't look as sharp as they would on a full HD display. Even the core quality of the screen is not on par with the IPS panels you will find on smartphones these days. So it's apparent that Realme went with an inferior panel on this tablet as you can easily notice the lack of saturation when watching movies or just general web browsing

 Screen visibility on it isn't an issue while you're indoors, but of course, it does struggle to maintain sufficient brightness under direct sunlight. Anyway, performance is where the Realme Pad Mini gains full points. It is powered by the Unisoc T616 chip, which if you look at its core specifications as well as benchmarks, is nearly identical to the MediaTek Helio G80 featured on the Realme Pad. And the low res display on the Realme Pad Mini means it requires less processing power, which makes things somewhat smoother and relatively more responsive

 Fortunately enough, Realme has secured Wide1L1 certification here so you can enjoy HD content on OTT platforms. And if you prefer reading comics or manga, I found that its lower resolution does not make the experience any less enjoyable. Screen visibility on it isn't an issue while you're indoors, but of course, it does struggle to maintain sufficient brightness under direct sunlight. Anyway, performance is where the Realme Pad Mini gains full points

I bought a galaxy tab A7 lite (8 inch).  
It's mainly to read manga scans.  
But the thing is struggling. everything feels laggy, I searched but it seems there is no other 8 inch tablet (with more processing power) on the market.  


But maybe I'm wrong so I'm asking you guys.  


My budget is 1000€, some might say, why not go with an ipad mini? well I want to read scan that are saved on my computers, as folders, with jpg files inside.  


With android you can just transfert the files in the tablets and you have apps that can read that.  
on IOS it's apparently very hard to impossible to do.
