Oh, yeah ---- they do fit as expected, but the obvious redesign of this classic chukka boot gets a thumbs down from me. WHAT were the "fashion mavens" at Red Wing thinking when they extended the toe box on this "Heritage" boot into a pointed toe in order to emulate all of the other crazy fashionista-inspired men's footwear out there? I bought these to work in my yard, not to wear to the "club" to make a phony blue collar statement.  I've had several pair of these comfortable chukka boots in years gone by. The toe box then was ample and subtly rounded-off, and they were very comfortable --- and I didn't feel like a pixie wearing them

Quality of leather great, but soles started separating after of a few months of wearing around an office environment! I saw this in many reviews on Zappos and other sites but figured redwing saw and fixed. But apparently not! Other than the that. The boots are nice and comfortable after a short break in. Rather than send them back for repairs, I’ll probably just use a good local cobbler that some redwing stores use for repairs in my area

Soles separate after a few months of office wear!!

I've owned many other Red Wing boots and this one has the same high quality, flawless leather and abnormal fit as the other Red Wing boots I've owned. For some unexplainable reason, Red Wing decided to make all of their footwear half a size bigger than normal. I can't understand why, but when you buy any Red Wing boot or shoe, you should order a half size smaller than your regular size. That is what gives it 4 stars instead of 5

 These fit the bill once they start breaking in. Before break-in they are like strapping on boards. Liking them more each day.

5 and I ordered an 8. The length and width are a good fit. They are comfortable across the top of my foot when laced up. It's a boot so my one negative is probably not deserved and it is that footbed is just hard leather

These are awesome boots! I have owned two pairs of Clarks Original Desert Boots in Beeswax leather and these Redwings seriously put those boots to shame.. If you're considering leather clarks and these Redwings- there's no competition. The look of these boots is slightly different- because of the thick sole they sit a little higher and are slightly bulkier

 The quality of leather that Red Wing uses is much superior in my opinion. It does not crease as much and it holds its shape much better than Clarks while still remaining comfortable. At first the Red Wing sole seems a little hard but it molds to your foot and becomes quite comfortable after a short time. I've only had these boots for two weeks now but i've already gotten so many compliments on them and several people have asked me what they are

 They fit a bit narrow, which is OK for my foot, but if you have a wider foot, don't get the D width. I usually wear 11 and these in 11 fit as expected for the length. I have had two pairs, one black, one brown that I have worn almost exclusively to work over the past 15 months. That means 2-3 x per week for each shoe indoors on carpeted surface

Original very legit.. I usualy wears 9US on my Jordans, nikes, adidas, reebok, UA and Asics basketball, running and training shoes.

Great shoes but with some small issues

 Make sure to use a good quality waterproof protectant even if you don't plan to walk in water. This will extend the life of your investment.

I have been wearing Red wing shoes for a long time, and these are all about the classic comfort. For a working boot they are perfect and can be worn all day. As with most Red wing shoes I have found that there is a short break-in period. Once they are broken in and the leather is stretched a bit they are good for all day wear
