The wired Ring Pro is better than any of the battery powered devices in my opinion. There’s no down time for charging, and features are generally enhanced compared to the battery devices. It’s constantly recording a few second loop, so you see around 5 seconds of footage from before the motion activation (Pre-roll in colour).

So, I went ahead and tried installing a [Ring Video Doorbell with the [Ring Pro Power Kit that comes with a Ring Video Doorbell Pro to allow the wired doorbell to work with your existing chime. Verdict is, no luck. The doorbell still functions fine and is getting powered properly, but it will not ring my in home chime (I know it works with Ring Doorbells since I have a 2020 Video Doorbell installed on the other door and it rings the chime just fine). I'm going to keep this doorbell anyways and just have it use my Echo since nobody rings that doorbell anyways, I just wanted the camera out there.

The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is a great doorbell, I've had no issues for the last 8 months, and its cheap at $70.
