 It's brighter than expected, moderately colorful. There is a bit of off-axis dimming. Again, just a product of Lcd, it's still just a budget display on a budget tablet. All in all, the thing is though, you can get a 10 inch 1080p Hd screen on the new Amazon Fire Hd tablet, for example for cheaper

 You aren't thrown into a box like you are with Fire Os on Amazon's tablets, and that I consider to be another big plus as well. Also, I found the battery life on the A7 light to be pretty solid too. You get a decently large 5100 milliamp capacity, which I know doesn't sound like a whole lot for a tablet, but you've got a lower resolution Lcd display, lower end specs, and all those elements are very efficient, which can stretch this battery life out a bit more. I've been pushing some 15 hours of screen on time at least, and that's under some pretty heavy usage

 So now with my camera rant all over with, let me sum up my thoughts on the A7 Light by saying I think this has almost all the elements to be called a solid budget tablet. It's got a great design and build quality, good enough screen, very usable specs, with the potential to get even more out of it than maybe you bargained for. I would have liked to have seen a little more in the way of the processor, or at least have four gigs of ram standard for 160 bucks. Though I think this is a nice secondary sort of device for the basic stuff, and maybe a little more than that

7 inch display because I think this is the first important element to this tablet. The screen on the A7 Lite is sort of a strange resolution 1340 by 800 pixels per inch and a 5x3 aspect ratio. It's also a Tft panel, sort of Samsung's version of Lcd, and I think with a Budget tablet coming in at this low of a price point, that's about all you can expect with the display. It's good enough for casual viewing, but you can pick out those pixels

The problem with the tablet (and the reason I returned mine) comes down to a limitation put in place by Samsung's software. Samsung has acknowledged that the "US Variant" of their galaxy tablets do not allow formatting SD cards as internal storage or moving apps to external storage

At the time of this review, this tablet is listed for $129. Some reviews here are complaining about the screen, but the hardware is an excellent value for money. Almost great, but fundamentally flawed

 They're often overexposed or underexposed and lack almost any dynamics due to its flat colors. In low light conditions, the camera finally surrenders and can only capture blurry outlines. If anything, I found the camera to be most useful if I needed to use it for an emergency backup for web calling you know, over Zoom or Skype. But other than that, I wouldn't use it at all

 Unfortunately, Uh, the A7 Light is no exception. You can't expect great photo and video quality from this tablet. Pictures taken with the selfie camera are blurry, noisy, and lack contrast. The main camera delivers a better picture quality

I've been quite happy with my Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019).  So, if I were in your shoes, I would look at what appears to be the latest equivalent, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 Wi-Fi 32GB Silver (SM-T500NZSAXAR).  (Around $179 US).  (There are also 8 inch screens, but I like the 10 inch screens)

I use my tablet for all the things you do, and it's been problem free.  But I'm also a fiction writer, and I have purchased a keyboard case for it and use it for writing when I travel.  I added a Bluetooth mouse and use it like a tiny laptop.  Works great.

I have also used the BT keyboard, mouse, and Headphones at the same time with no problems.

It's a place to start looking at least.

Hello everyone. I had a huawei tablet from 2018 up until last spring, when I got an updated model because I wanted to use wireless earbuds on it. Turns out I didn't do enough research because new tablets from huawei don't have google services on them (totally bricking them for me).

I managed to install google services with some youtuber's help but that lasted 6 months. I never want to have to resort to that again, so I'm looking for a new android tablet. Things I want from it:

1) It has to have google services

2) It has to support wireless earbuds

3) It has to have instagram

4) About 8" size is fine, a little bigger is not a deal breaker, but not needed

5) Not a google device. I bought their very first nexus 7 tablet in 2013 and it became so slow just a year later that it was unusable.

I'm only going to use it lightly on a daily basis, watching youtube while working out and the occasional instagram browsing. I want something that will remain fast for at least a couple of years if not more.

Looking for a tablet for light daily use (Youtube/ Instagram), with native google services

Good, but no option to shut off startup chime

 But now with this tab A7 Lite, you can just easily pick this up and just throw on a video, get that into full screen and look at that. that is just way larger than any smartphone you're gonna use, but it also just has that compact feel to it that it just makes it a really nice and enjoyable device to use overall and then to go along with that, good viewing experience, we have excellent speakers on this tablet. Again, we have that one on the top and one on the bottom and I am super impressed with these speakers considering the price of this tablet. it's not quite the quad speaker setup that we have on the bigger brother tab A7, but just being so accustomed to a lot of smartphones these days, having just the single bottom firing speaker, having that dual speaker setup again just makes it so enjoyable to use on a daily basis

 We have a really nice aluminum frame here, aluminum backing here. We do have some plastic on the top and bottom. I guess that's for some of the connectivity things, but it does kind of make for a nice two-tone finish here. just a slightly darker gray to my eye on those ends than on the backing

, this isn't too bad of a deal.  First, it's a Galaxy series device from Samsung. That, in itself, was a selling point for me. Both she and I have pretty much used Samsung Galaxy phones every since smartphones first came out, so we are both familiar with the quality of Samsung Galaxy products

 To her, game playing is Solitaire or Word games, so I'm not talking about it being great for gaming that requires lots of processing power. But for just everyday internet stuff, the tablet works great. Battery life is pretty good, but the charger it comes with isn't fast charging (I just bought her a separate new charger that actually is fast charging. Cost like $12, so not too bad)

 Unfortunately, Verizon and AT&T are both carriers that don't allow you to do that.  All in all, this is actually a really nice little tablet for the money. It's basically a bare bones Android device, but still, it is perfect for someone to just do regular, simple internet tasks on. If you're looking for a tablet to just check email, surf the web, watch videos, check out social media stuff and the like, then you would be hard pressed to find a better deal

 It also has plenty of storage right out of the box and you can add more if you need to by adding an SD card. And for what she does on it (mentioned above), this has plenty of speed and memory. A bit late, but have you considered restructuring this list around price tiers rather than usage categories.

As is, I could totally see a less tech savvy user being confused as to why the ~$600 Tab S7 is a "notes and movie" tablet, but the comparitively weaker Lenovo Tab M10 is a "gaming" tablet.

I can expand on this later but breaking it into price tiers and using tags to note what each tablet excels at would probably be more straight forward, especially since many people buy based on budget.

Suggested tiers would likely be (in USD):

* Budget - $100 and below
* Entry Level - $100-250
* Mid-range - $250-$500
* High end - $500+
