Samsung Q50/Q50R QLED

 The best remote I've ever used! It was super easy to install and it controls all of my connected devices.  The best feature with this remote is it allows me to choose what streaming service I want to use. For example, I can say "Top Gun" and it will show me all streaming services that offer the movie AND the price for the movie from all of the streaming service providers. Some may be free while others ask for $3

 The remote control is absolutely NOT intuitive. I have had to look up how to use the remote on Google more times that I can remember.  Switching between internet streaming, my Amazon Fire Stick and my Blu-ray player is nearly impossible. Understand that I am not technologically ignorant

 I am an engineer with a knack for solving problems.  In fact, I should be able to figure out this useless remote because I am so smart that I have counted to infinity - twice!  I have now purchased a new Roku Streaming Stick 4K 2021. The best remote I've ever used! It was super easy to install and it controls all of my connected devices.  The best feature with this remote is it allows me to choose what streaming service I want to use

  Here is my solution, I have connected an Apple TV to it, and as soon as I turn on the TV, I jump directly to the Apple TV. This way get a good video of the TV without the Samsung **#$*#$*.

 This would be a deal-breaker for me if I had any other choice for a 4k 32 inch TV. But overall if you can get over the ads on a TV that you bought and the fact they force you to create an account just to set it up, the GUI sucks! not intuitive.  BTW, you know why they force you to do that, so they can serve ads to you on the main login page. You will have a new ad that you can't get rid of every time you turn on your TV. $500 Tv more expensive screws ever!

 The only other way I've found to get to them is to factory reset the TV which is ridiculous. I'll be replacing the "SMART" side of this TV with a Roku which is far superior to what Samsung provides.

Updates have made this TV pretty much worthless

 not enough buttons trying to do too much. just trying to change the channel was an exercise in frustration. you push the button once and it will skip one or more channels. tried to find how to switch to my home theater to watch a dvd and it was problem after problem

a lot of features i will never use that fought me setting up the television for basic use. the remote is the worst unintuitive device i have ever tried to operate. not enough buttons trying to do too much. just trying to change the channel was an exercise in frustration
