Samsung SWA-9500S

The sound just blew me away! Even my wife agrees! The rears SWA-9500S are amazing.

However, for $1000CA (after taxes), I would pick something a bit more higher-end, especially with the Black Friday around the corner. The Samsung HW-Q700A is a real 3.1.2, with 2 up-firing speakers, contrary to the Sony which just emulates the vertical signal (currently on sales at 650$ instead of 900 at BestBuy Canada). It also have the advantage to be upgradable with the addition of optional rear speakers SWA-9500S, which will add 2 back channels and 2 up-back channels, for a complete 5.1.4 system. In the same order of idea, you have LG soundbars, like the SP7Y, a bit more expensive but better sounding according to reviews, which is also upgradable with rear speakers.

I also set up the soundbar for best settings: auto equalizer on, ava on and increased the rear speaker level to 6. I watch movies with Atmos support and 7.1 on Tv via external hard drive and still no sound from the 2 rear speakers. I tried all the sound modes on the soundbar but nothing works.
