 That being said, if you're planning on a rebuild down the line, there's no harm in putting the FireCuda 520 in a Gen 3 slot for now, and then carrying that SSD forward when you go to rebuild. However, if you're building a new machine on a Gen 4 motherboard, you'll definitely want to get a Gen 4 SSD to maximize the performance. Remember, if you put a Gen 3 SSD into a Gen 4 motherboard alongside all of your other Gen 4 components, you'll still be limited by that Gen 3 speed. So whether you're just gaming or putting a little bit of extra stress on your machine by streaming or capturing, you'll want to make sure that your storage device isn't the source of any of your performance bottlenecks

 The FireCuda 520 has max sequential read speeds of up to 5000MBps, compared to the FireCuda 510 at 3450MBps. The FireCuda 520 has max sequential write speeds of 4400MBps, versus the FireCuda 510 at 3200MBps. And note that your PCIe Gen 3 motherboard can easily read and write to the Gen 4 FireCuda 520 SSD. You'll just be limited to the max speeds of your Gen 3 motherboard

 Remember, if you put a Gen 3 SSD into a Gen 4 motherboard alongside all of your other Gen 4 components, you'll still be limited by that Gen 3 speed.  So overall, really nice performance profile for these lighter threaded workloads, and then as again, I keep referencing the review, but as you see in the review in StorageReview.com, even when we throw more threads at it, it maintains an even performance profile, which is something we like to see, whether it's gaming centric or not, high quality drive that can handle reads and writes equally well is a nice, balanced, good view to see.  If you want a big enclosure like this that has the hard drive inside, that's great, but a little one that can run around to different systems, be it your PC, your Mac, or gaming things like Xbox, as we're all stuck at home playing more games than usual, portability of data may see an increased level of importance. Seagate NVME Giveaway!

Product came a day early, holds up advertised speeds well, expensive but lightning quick.  Only gripe I had with this is that it does not come with any screws to actually mount this in the slot. Had some spares, but would've assumed to recieve with the product.

Very fast SSD. Can't speak to longevity as I just got it, but it benches well.  Installation was a PITA though, because I've never installed a m.2 SSD before

8 million You're not going to have any issues with it I put it into a laptop or computer that you plan to have for a long time and it honestly just does really well I found it to be really impressive. Probably one of the best SSDs I've used. It's just 510 Seagate. Done well I sweat you

 So I know a lot of a lot of companies are prone to Over inflate how quick things are but this one I actually found to be very very close Almost exactly spot-on. So nice work to Seagate for getting it almost spot-on I think the reason I would recommend using these is there's one terabyte. It doesn't cost much and it's a whole terabyte I don't know how much storage, you know people are using but I feel like one terabyte is enough to run your whole system and to have all your software and all your Programs on it and then have an external hard drive I don't know what you need two three four, maybe five terabytes just to store your files So I would highly recommend having this by CUDA the read and write speeds are exceptional I honestly really good like it. It's really really really quick It's PCIe

 This one is a 1 terabyte I put just a little pen here just so you can see the size comparison. There's sort of my normal size 10 I would say there's a roughly 15 centimeter pen and there is the little SSD here that goes internally I found it to be incredibly quick just for comparison to a lot of other obviously spinning disk hard drives So they they say Seagate says with this one that it's got blazing fast performance Ultra small factor fits into a lot of laptops and PCs. So this is 1 terabyte It does also come with a 2 terabyte version. This one costs I believe around the 450 mark and the 2 terabyte a fair bit more It has up to 2,600 TBW The one thing I do like about it five years warranty I'm very impressed by that a lot of Seagate portable hard drives and all those sort of things come with two or three But this one def comes with five which is really good in case obviously touch with something happens You've got a lot of warranty there
