Hi I'm Bill from Guitar Center today I'd like to tell you about a phenomenal guitar. This is the Seagull S6 Dreadnought. It's made in Canada Who would ever think that somebody could make a guitar in North America and it would be less than 500 bucks, but sound like a million bucks? Well a guy up in Canada did his name is Robert Gordon and he founded the Segal Factory and this is their number one seller, the S6. The S6 is the result of a lot of cool engineering and interesting materials

 It's one in three-quarter inches width right here, and that gives you a little more room to move around when you're playing fingerstyle and down here. The saddle is compensated. If you see the close-up of the saddle, you see that the material goes back and forth a little bit and that again aids in staying in tune while you're playing you time. The soundhole rosette, which is this ring here, is of a herringbone design

Found a cheap one without the strings but the white bridge on the neck seemed off the neck a bit. Is that part easily repairable or should i change the whole neck if i buy it ?

[Question] I was looking to get my first acoustic guitar

 I'm not an expert on guitar quality, but I've noticed its sound turns very dull and mumbled under certain weather conditions. And for some reason it requires much more frequent tuning than the Yamaha guitar. All in all, I consider this an average guitar with a higher than average price tag.

Besides this Seagull, I also have a Yamaha FG700s, which is half the price but in my opinion, a much more solid guitar. The Seagull S6 has a softer, more feminine sound, which is nice, if only its performance was consistent. I'm not an expert on guitar quality, but I've noticed its sound turns very dull and mumbled under certain weather conditions.  friggin high and you can really play it. it was, you know, unless you were the Hulk So I went to Sam Nash across the street they had this awesome setup. it was like um like a bench. It was like a round bench and then had like a platform in the center and it had the guitars I had like they're I think they're I feel like the entourage, the S6 entourage and some of their more expensive ones

I’m close to a beginner myself, so this is my first time dispensing guitar advice. Not sure if Canadian guitars are available in the UK, but after copious research, I bought the Seagull S6 Deluxe Mahogany as my first instrument. At 550 USD, it was an exceptionally well made and great sounding guitar. The S6 series is actually made in Quebec and has a solid wood top

However, I brought my guitar for £50, and I didn't really think much of it but after playing on my brothers acoustic that is he got for £450, the difference seems to be night and day. Riffs and chord progressions that I struggle with on my guitar feel very easy and sound way better on his guitar.

Also just how bad would my guitar be for £50? Its served me well but after playing a much better guitar I can't help but hate it now haha.

I am going to invest in a new guitar now, but I am wondering from someone with more knowledge what kinda things should I look out for if I give myself a budget of £500? I find it hard to differentiate price differences because of brands or actual quality/play-ability of the guitars.

[NEWBIE] Acoustic guitar prices/quality

 Out of the numerous guitars I tried, the Seagull S6 is the best, by far. It has a beautiful tone and most importantly for me, great playability.  So, if you you are looking for a Seagull S6 Slim, this is a the one to get. It not only sounds great, but it is a beautiful looking guitar

 I tried out the -artin X series, -amaha FG series, -aylor Mini, and several others in the under $700 price range. I've been learning on a -asmine S34-C for a while and was ready for an upgrade. Out of the numerous guitars I tried, the Seagull S6 is the best, by far. It has a beautiful tone and most importantly for me, great playability

The S6 sent to me is a slim version

 You could probably find them cheaper if you look in a store you used. um, I see them between 250 and 300 all the time. If you bargain hunt like I did, you can probably find one even cheaper. And uh, in that price range, it's really a no-brainer You're not going to get a guitar under 500, at least in my opinion that sounds as good as a Seagull S6 that plays as good as one

 like I said, for under 500, I would rather have kind of a utilitarian guitar that's just good at what it does than one that has, you know, a laminate top with like quilt all over it. Then it looks really over the top with extra binding and everything and just doesn't sound good. So this delivers the way I want an acoustic guitar in this price range to deliver. Overall, the only reason I would not recommend this guitar under 500 or you know in general as a cheap acoustic is if you really want to plug into an amp

I bought myself a seagull s6 or similar for 400 canadian and its so nice to play. Has a really warm tone too. Ive gone thru so many 150-200 dollar guitars and wish id just bought this from the start. Hope this helps

Wanted to love it

72 inch wide nut width. Everybody that hears who plays these guitars just goes on and on about the sound of them and especially at the price point there. This this particular model kind of goes in at 529. this has no electronics in it
