 so I just got back from an unchartered up in Cape Cod I was fishing with John B and Senor bass and John B I am an idiot and left all my reels at home. He let me use one of his. it just so happened to be the Corrado DC I've never used the DC reel my life. I've had probably 15 years worth of experience with a baitcaster

I 100% agree with the Daiwa Tatula.  I own a Curado DC and I bought my son a Tatula for 1/2 the price and in my opinion it’s a better casting reel.

Got reel back in a month.Paperwork said they replaced 2 bearings.It was smooth, two weeks later it was gritty and noisey.I removed side cover and spool and found a lot of lubricant in reel

Wouldn’t any reel backlash less if you tightened the casting knob to prevent the spool free-play needed for long casts?I like the concept and feel the industry needs to try and make it easier for anyone to cast a baitcaster. Both of my Curado Dc reels feel gritty and you can hear them as well.The first one I bought,I sent back to shimano.  Yeah, I do it hasn't been cleaned here that has not been cleaned you know and I called up Matt goes fishing because I know he had experience with the Corrado rod and he used it I said hey, how do you like it he said he liked it and I ended up picking that up and you know I put the two together Corrado DC Corrado rod for bottom baits I mean Texas rigs and jig rod and I mean the Corrado Dc2. It's not as light as some of the G Loomis rods or other Shimano rods I have, but it is a very good rod for the price. To be honest with you, I mean I've got 20 pounds Sunline fluorocarbon I've got a Gamakatsu Super Line Ewg hook. it's C 3 OTT and then I do have a natural Bandito bug get it out of my pocket on the hook

 but yeah, that was okay. Like I said, I'm not too good at skipping. I mean the DC real will help you I should probably have it on four, but I have the real something three. that was a little better

 I mean I think it looks great and operates well with the Corrado rod. And another thing too is in the year roughly year that I've had this Corrado DC I have not cleaned it so if you hear it once in a while the real kind of sound dirty like that, you might need to clean that well. Shimano Curado DC Casting Review 1 Year Later

Also to dissent from the other poster, if you’re only choosing between those two reels, I’d get the Curado. The SLX DC essentially is a $100 reel with an expensive chip in it, which is exactly what it feels like to me.

Anybody who has owned one or both of these which one would you say is better.

 That when I learned the drag on this reel at 11 pounds suck!!!!. At $249.00 it might make a high priced crappie rig. If Shimano ever makes an upgraded drag too 15 -17 pounds let me know

 I'm gonna take this jig, make a cast. Threw that thing on our 25 yards. No issues. Super smooth, really comfortable in the hand

 one is going to be the least amount of resistance, two is gonna be your braid setting. If you're throwing braids or mono, this is the setting you want to be on, Three is gonna be your fluorocarbon setting, and four that is your most breaking system that's going to be skipping. that's going to be casting light baits into the wind, so it's very easy. one through four depending on what your reel is, what your reel is spooled with, and the baits you're throwing

 So I'm going to spool these up I'm gonna show you guys some close-up shots of some of the key features. I'm gonna go make some casts and you guys keep an ear out for that. That notorious that DC Sound Let's go make some casts. Alright guys! I Spool up this first DC This Corrado DC with 65 pound max Quatro Braid I Tied on a frog and paired that up with the X Pride 7/3 extra-heavy This is a fantastic frog rod

Shimano Curado 150 DC : An In-Depth Look

What’s the thinnest diameter braid you get away with running on your baitcaster, more specifically the curado DC? I know you they say you can go down to 20, but this is my river walleye setup and it will be in plenty of snags. My only other baitcaster with braid is my musky set up, and that’s 80.

 I’m intermediate skill level with a bait caster. This thing must be be thumbed when the lure hits the water. It’s a nice reel but it doesn’t do what it claims to do. It’s a 4
