Shure SM57

So when it comes down to it would I recommend this thing?

I’ve used this and a Shure SM57 next to each other and the similarities in quality was astounding. For either vocals and podcast/streaming, the $100 SM57 is a great pick if you like dynamic mics and don’t wanna break the bank on the SM7B. Also make sure your interface has a decent pre amp if you want it to get enough gain for your use case.

This means that you shouldn't need any additional gain from a Cloudlifter or FetHead. The Rode Procaster is a fine microphone, but you could save $100 by purchasing a Sennheiser e 835 or a Shure SM57 with a WindTech 600 foam windscreen.
