  Recently, I saw some of these S&W knives on sale at a deeply discounted price here on Amazon. So I ordered 3 of these out of curiosity. In MY world, they aren't junk or toys. They are full tang daggers made from quality steel with a leather locking scabbard and a steel spring belt clip

 And if I can't, nobody can. So I'll update this review after I sharpen what should have come out of the box sharp.

 Such people know nothing about knife fighting. NOTHING! So this is a deficiency I have to mention. The poor fitting scabbard is a manufacturing discrepancy that would not happen IF the knives were ever fitted into the scabbard during QC inspections prior to packaging for shipping. That's just shoddy

 The 7Cr17MoV Steel is supposed to be equally to a cheap 440A. Wouldn’t have expected any more from a Chinese made steel, and the Price for this dagger. However, as a knife collector, I’ve expected more quality from a S&W knife. It isn’t the sharpest of my collection OOB

Average dagger...

  Its about as sharp as those "replica" weapons some people would put on display and never use.  If you know how to sharpen a knife with whetstones or even diamond stone sharpening tools, then you will have a strong blade and it will hold a good edge and if nothing else I recommend this as a good starting point for someone to take on that type of thing and learn without damaging a preexisting edge.  If you are buying this knife with expectations that it will be sharp right out of its box, you will be disappointed. so unless you know a thing or two about fixing that issue yourself, you will feel that you wasted your money

  -Sheath/scabbard - The material feels well constructed and the belt clip keeps it exactly where I want it to stay. If nothing else I would have paid this much just for the sheath.  The blade's tip is impressive. If you know how to throw knives with accuracy or you want this for just its tip then you wont be disappointed

 I like the style and quality of the sheath it clips to your belt or fits in your pocket. I don't normally like lanyard holes on knives but on this knife, given its purpose, it makes sense so you can loop some paracord around your hand so you don't drop it. I like it.

Good knife for the price point. Has some imperfections but that is to be expected.

Still overall satisfied with this knife. A good product for its price, feels very solid and well-constructed, weight feels good, and it looks menacing enough to deter most non-critical physical confrontations (obviously won’t help you in a gunfight 😉)

The size of the blade is what I expected (not trying to be Rambo), but the handle is rather small/shorter than expected. My hands are not huge mitts as you can see in the photos. Yet even still, the handle seems a tad bit too small.

Feels solid, well-constructed. Smallish handle.

My four star rating is based on my expectations of quality for the price of the knife. You get what you pay for and I feel I got my money's worth..

99, went to buy another today for another backpack setup and its now 15.99. The blade was great for 11.99 but I don't believe this blade is worth 15

 The blade was great for 11.99 but I don't believe this blade is worth 15.99 each as there are two competitors that are the EXACT SAME KNIFE with the EXACT SAME SHEATH for less except it doesn't use the S&W brand name.

Good blade but competitors knives are exactly the same and didn't raise their price by $4.00 over night.

 This is not something you want to take out in the woods and use as a Workhorse, it's a knife that's design to stab a soft target.  The sheath is what I really want to talk about, and I'm impressed by Smith & Wesson's sheath for this knife. It's probably one of the best sheaths I've had for a boot knife. It actually stays clipped to my combat boot
