Most recently I ran out of my regular ball, Snell MTB-X, and they were back ordered so I ran up to the PGA Superstore. Buy a box of the TP5’s with that funky design on them. Drive straight to the course because I had a tournament. Get to the first tee and what do you know, their fucking noodles inside the box

 so I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered these. These balls, just like Pro V1's are long but they spin too much for me off the driver just like Pro V1's. I prefer to sacrifice greenside spin to gain more driver accuracy.

I researched this ball after seeing that it ranked so highly in independent testing. It turns out that these balls were designed by the same guy that helped design the Pro V1 yet these balls are priced considerably lower. After playing a sleeve of these, I determined that they are not the best fit for me but I don't want to penalize them by rating them lower because they actually do perform like Pro V1's. I don't play Pro V1's

If you are like me and love scoring with lesser known equipment, these balls fit the bill

 They're kind of the title list of the direct-to-consumer at this point. They seem to have a really good reputation for, the price is obviously good, but I think people trust the construction ball is consistent and well made and obviously the results are what they are expecting. Absolutely. One of the concerns I think that a lot of people have with direct-to-consumer models is a lack of innovation and sort of implied technology or implemented technology in that it's not just a golf ball that's just been selected from a catalogue

I prefer a hard ball (giggity) and in my personal testing, Ive found the more firm golf ball will fly better with my swing (TP5X vs TP5 vs Tour Response, Snell MTBX vs Black, ProV1 vs Left Dash for example). I dont like the feel of a squishy golf ball. 3 - Price. MTB X was a great fit for a long time due to pricing, but since they had to add the shipping cost, it doesnt carry that as much anymore

I've always preferred a ball that felt a little softer (not insanely soft), but have never been able to understand how that affects ball flights - if at all, distances - if at all, etc.

While my ego would love to play Titleists all day / every day - I certainly don't need to spend the cash when a different ball might be just as good of a ball for me.  (I usually buy Bridgestone E6 currently)

How do you choose your golfball?

 The question is, was he able to fit the technology that he used for that into these? We will find out. I'm going to start with around the green, as always, and we'll go from there. So if you're someone who's been playing the Pro V1 for a long time, this is probably the ball you would want to switch to if you were wanting to switch to a cheaper model, just because it looks like Snell's really brought a lot of that stuff that made the Pro V1 so great as far as its engineering into this ball. Those numbers I mean are pretty much spot on

 Now the way he's trying to change is kind of like what a lot of other companies are doing and what I kind of base my whole channel around, selling golf balls directly to consumers at lower prices while still having the same performance. If anyone can do it, it's Dean Snell. He's got the background as an engineer. He's an expert in plastics

At the end of the millennium, Dean Snell would create a golf ball that would completely change how we think about golf balls and how golf balls are designed. When he co-created the Pro V1, it completely changed the course of history of how pros used them and how companies would soon follow suit. But Dean Snell wasn't done there

 So, Snell's really found the market, I'm really impressed. This will be the third time he's changed the market. Honestly, it's just really impressive.  High spin for short to mid irons. Very durable and well priced. They spin enough that they offer the ability to hit a wide variety of shots but still give you the option of hitting lower spin shots.

The age old question. Unfortunately, I was gifted a couple dozen Callaway Chrome soft a with Truvis. I fell in love with the ball and cover design. However, I really can't warrant spending 50 bucks on a dozen balls and losing them in a month. Any recommendations on a good budget ball for a mid to high handicapper? I have read a lot of articles online, but would prefer to hear personal experiences. Is there a ball that is similar to the chrome soft but a better price point?
