Sofirn HS05

Left to right: Convoy S2+, Skilhunt H04 RC, Sofirn HS05, Manker E03H v1, Manker E02H v1. Sofirn is slightly taller than the Manker, slightly thinner, but 3.6 grams / 0.127 oz lighter. Even though Manker has the superior moonlight (with 14500 I estimate the sofirn's 'eco' mode is more like 2-3 lumen, maybe more), I find the HS05's UI to be better, specifically. * Hold from off for eco/moonlight vs manker which goes to high.

I have a Sofirn HS05 headlamp / right angle light that I really like. The 2700k is great around the house at night. If you prefer Manker the E03H II is similar with lower moonlight levels. The Lumintop Tool (reverse clicky) and EDC AA (forward clicky) are decent if you prefer tail switches.

[Here are some of my about the HS05 from 6 weeks ago. It's been my daily carry every day since I got it. It's pretty much a mini SP40, minus the high-CRI led option (which they've now updated to the high CRI 5000k led, I'm informed). Same type of Sofirn build (good), UI (straightforward), very bright on turbo (1000 lumens seems accurate from a 14500).

Sofirn HS05 might work for you, it's rather small and uses a 14500 cell, but can also take NiMH, lithium primaries, or Alkaline (ew) AAs. Reasonably bright even with a NiMH, nice beam and colour, and theyre not all that expensive either.

[Sofirn Great light, but TBH I've had some pretty bad parasitic drain with 14500s. Doesn't seem to be the case with AA or Eneloops. Other than that, nice light.
