 It is probably around half of that, maybe 700 lumens if I'm being kind. I own several headlamps and flashlights by well known manufactures such as Jetbeam, Nightcore and Klarus. They are all very accurate in their specifications of lumen output and I did comparisons with their headlamps and flashlights side by side with this product. The light is not only well below 1200 lumens it is a soft yellow color which I personally don't care for

If Sofirn would have been honest about the specifications on this light I probably wouldn't have purchased it since it wasn't what I was looking for. However I wouldn't be writing a negative review of their product either

 While it is a bit troublesome to adjust the angle of the light, because the holder is rubber, the flashlight stays in place because the holder is rubber. The main reason I gave this headlamp 3 stars is because it is nowhere near 1200 lumens in its output level. It is probably around half of that, maybe 700 lumens if I'm being kind. This headlamp is NOT even close to 1200 lumens

 Like this, that's designed to be a headlamp slash, a 90-degree EDC light to be able to stick this thing on the hood of a car side of a car anywhere, most lights that are configured such as this would have a magnetic tail cap. Having said that, you can rectify that by simply removing this spring and supergluing a magnet in there and then putting the spring back in. I know people personally who have done that and it works just just fine, but I think it would have been really nice to have that magnetize from the factory, all in all isn't worth 27 bucks. I would say absolutely the power, the construction, the durability is what you would expect from sofa, and so let's take a quick pause and I'll meet you outside to show you what this thing can do and we'll go ahead and close out the video once we get Outside alright, here we are in the backyard with the sofa and SP 40 right now

 Three stars because of how good it was, and how good it still is, but I wouldn't replace it with a newer one of the same thing.

 I found myself grabbing my old, less bright headlamp just because of its reliability. I'll try to keep using this one, but I think ill be looking for something else and this one will become a back up headlamp. Hey guys, there's a purchase i've been postponing forever now but i always find myself in need of it, i need a flashlight whose purpose is to be left in my car's glovebox. I initially considered a simple and trustworthy S2+ with whatever emitter, the size being 18650 doesn't bother me at all, in fact i like the idea of that kind of extra oomph but i now wonder whether or not leaving a 18650 in my cars glovebox is a particularly good idea. Perhaps a CR123A or AA would give me a little more peace of mind? Should i even worry a 18650 in there? 

What are your opinions on 18650 for this purpose? 

In case you guys think it would be safer, what are the best options for CR123A and AA lights?

Gonna leave a second one in my dad's car too, any brand.

I need a light to leave in the glovebox of my cars...

 This is simply not the case with this light. The real light is no where even close to as bright as their marketing photos and it is only a narrow beam. The only reason I won't give this 1 star is that it is only $30 dollars. You can't expect a 30 dollar light to be legit

I've been working with a realtor for the past several weeks and he's been great. Every time we see a house, the first thing he does is dive into the darkest, dankest crawlspaces and corners and start looking for signs of water intrusion, mold, or other problems. I've crawled through many of the dark places of the earth with this guy, he with his $3 tactical flashlight, me with my zebralight.

Now after several weeks of looking, circumstances have changed at it looks like I'm going to buy  a house across state lines, where he's not a licensed realtor. I hate that he won't get a commission after all the work he's done for me, so I want to buy him a gift.

Here's what I'm looking for:

\- High CRI

\- Impressively bright (pants-on-fire bright would be ideal but not necessary)

\- Sexy (compact, sleek, great out-of-the-box wow factor)

\- More floody than spotty

\- Muggle Friendly: a simple UI is nice, but more important is making sure he doesn't have to think about over-charging or over-discharging unprotected cells. USB charging is ideal.

This probably rules out options like the FW3A, D4V2, and 1x18650 Zebralights unless someone can recommend a dead-simple, reliable charger that will allow him to never think about the fact that the batteries are unprotected.
