* **Anker Soundcore Life A1** \- £27 - These work well. Sound quality is pretty good and connection is excellent.

 I will say here there is an upside to the A1’s over the Tozo T6’s which is that the charging case can be charged via wireless charging pads. Also it uses a usb-c cord to charge which I appreciate (I naively hope that one day, all charging ports on smartphones will standardize to this).  Appearance is also an issue with these and it’s a bigger one than I realized until only a few days ago when I read another user’s question about them and then checked for myself. The issue here is that while they’re not *too* big (they are a bit bigger than the Tozo’s), it’s that they light up when in use

 Really, you’re just paying for the Anker name and maybe their customer service (which I’ve never had to use and therefore have no opinion on). And no, I’m not a Tozo shill or an Anker hater, I just feel the Tozos are a better set of Bluetooth earbuds. The A1’s aren’t bad by any stretch, they’re just not as good as their more affordable competition.

 I sweat a lot when I work out and live in a region that gets a lot of snow and quick rain storms in other seasons. Worrying about the earbuds getting wet and dying is a real concern that I simply don’t have with the T6’s.  Comfort was significantly worse on the A1’s. I experimented with the different rubber ear pieces they came with and while I did find one that fit better, it still wasn’t as comfortable

A quick comparison of some budget true wireless earbuds

.I was thinking of bumping the star rating to 4 after recent events. But the problem will be the problem even after the temporary fix. Long story short, the major flaw was caused by the loosening of the rubber pieces preventing the buds from fully connecting to the charging pins inside the case, maintaining the annoying Bluetooth connection even after I had put them back in the case to charge

 But the one thing that these do, that demote the stars, that pretty much ALL other Bluetooth ear buds get right, is that when you put them back into the charging case, they stay connected to my phone. It is so annoying. Most ear buds disconnect when you put them in the charging case. Don't know how many times I go to answer a call, only to find out that the reason I can't hear anything is that my phone is still connected to the buds, that I put in the charging case hours ago

 And 3 and a half stars for the product.  7-19-22 Long story short, the initial connection error returned after switching the new ear tips. There are other reviewers experiencing the same problem as I so it is a flaw in a few of these earbuds. Anker wanted me to take pictures and all that but at this point I'm going to cut my losses and buy another set of earbuds

Like most reviews, these are pretty decent for the price. Sounds is decent, for the price. Battery life is actually pretty great overall. The fit is very good, never feel like they're going to fall out my ear (though like a lot of reviewers, the rubber piece on one is loose and starting to fall off)

These sound great, but I had the same issues others had with the rubber ear pieces constantly falling off and stretching out. This is both a quality and design flaw. Keep in mind we’re talking about rubber pieces that probably cost a few cents but wildly change the experience.  Anker said they are not able to replace the rubber pieces under warranty

Bluetooth sleep earbuds?

 I wasn't expecting premium at this price point, but I also wasn't expecting terrible either and that what I got mid-level goods. First all the ear wings do not stay on the buds. As a matter of fact after a few wears they become so loose it almost pointless to even have them on buds. The sound quality is oaky, but I have had to turn the volume way up in order to hear anything

 I have a pair of wired Sony earbuds that are way louder than these and project more bass. The sound quality isn't bad once you into higher volumes to where your music can actually be heard, but I shouldn't have to have them at 80 -100% volume all the time. The battery life it ok at about advertised. The controls are confusing at first but become intuitive with time, however they are in a bad place at least for me

You Get What You Pay For

I am looking for a pair of wireless earbuds that don't fall out my ear when exercising. I like earbuds with silicon tips, but I have always had troubles finding ones that stay on my ears.

For example, I have been able to try the Huawei freebuds pro, and these fall pretty quickly, specially when exercising. I have also tested the aipods pro. These fit a lot better in my ear, but they are expensive and also, they will end up falling when exercising after some time.

What would you recommend for a budget of 80-100$?

Looking for well fitting wireless earbuds to workout

 The Life A1 also has a modified ear wing (see pic), but it my opinion it is not as comfortable. Don't get me wrong they are still comfortable, but the Life Dot 2 I could wear for hours and never have my ears hurt. I have fallen asleep with the Life Dot 2 buds in and awoke in the morning with no discomfort in my ears. With the Life A1 when I woke up in the morning my ears would be slightly irritated
