These are for the high school or college kid on a tight budget. They are for the person who wants a half decent sound but really only has $50 to spend. Not the guy who is looking for a diamond in the rough. These are not a diamond

 Their compact design would be great for those with smaller ears. For instance, my wife has smaller ears and these sit well for her. If compact design is what you're looking for, these are the ones you seek. These come with three earbud size cushions to be sure to fit the one who uses them

 You use will either extend or drain the battery life. The higher the volume and the longer they are used, the quicker the battery will drain. I don't think you'll be upset with the life of the battery even using it on the highest volume with the AAC codec.  Conclusion and Suggestions If you're wanting something compact with decent battery life and audio quality, these will suit your needs

  For SOUNDPeats, if this same form factor could also include a better Bluetooth chipset with AptX support and for a Gaming mode, these would be near perfect. Wireless charging for the case would be nice, as everyone seems to frown on not having it. I think adding that feature would make them the perfect earbuds for many.

SOUNDPeats Mini - A Bearded Review

For those of you who don't know I'm YouTuber and my channel is audio only. I get this question all the time, "What's your favorite earbud?" I don't have one. Next question is, "How many earbuds do you have?" The answer is "Yes." Before you ask this isn't my final form.

 The case is compact enough that wont bother when carrying it around and the earbuds don't stick out to much and look nice in the ear.  I own a few top tier earbuds and I use these the most, mainly because they sound good and I don't get earbud anxiety, that is when you are afraid of loosing your earbuds somewhere. I also love using these in bed before to sleep they are comfortable and I can rest my head fine with them on.  They are not very loud as in loud AF, but decently loud just enough

  ****UPDATE****  Returning, there is a disconnect/reconnect issue with one of the earbuds and I'm not going to risk it. I had once purchased a pair of earbuds with same issue but my return window closed. So I'm not taking any chances anymore and returning ASAP. ALSO

For the price I paid for these, I am more than pleased with their performance. The earbuds are comfortable, they sound pretty good, not great but very good. Very Good Value ***UPDATE***

 I have not tried it in an outdoor environment.  Case: The case is very small (size of an AAA egg) as seen in the picture.  Connectivity: Had to problem connecting to a 3 year old Android 8 phone and latest iPhone.  I haven't used it long enough to talk about battery life but from past experience whatever the manufacturer lists in the desc is usually very close to real life usage

  The treble and mid are as clear as True Engine 3 if not a bit better.  Call quality is good, clear but a bit muted (or muddy) compared to the phone mic. I have not tried it in an outdoor environment.  Case: The case is very small (size of an AAA egg) as seen in the picture

 Case in point, I was trying them out and loved the size, fit and sound quality. The next day, my 15-year-old took them and said he liked them better than his Airpod Pros! I had to take them back from him, though, as they were a gift for my husband. My husband only had them a few days before the 15-year-old "borrowed" them again. I reminded him he had the $250+ Airpods, but he said he liked these Soundpeats BETTER!

As someone who is really into both weightlifting (I've been in the gym for a decade now, see my recent submission on Progress Pics) and headphones (see flair), I don't intermingle the hobbies. 

When I am lifting or doing cardio, my needs in a headphone are five-fold: (1) long battery life so that I don't lose power during a workout if I forget to charge one night; (2) accessible controls so that I do not need to fiddle with my phone to pause/play/switch tracks/adjust volume; (3) a comfortable and snug fit, so that my ears don't hurt and I do not need to adjust my headphones once during the workout; (4) wireless connection so that I can leave my phone in my pocket or across the room; and (5) water/sweat resistance. 

 Sound quality, though valuable to me in other contexts where I am engaged in dedicated listening, is very very low on my list of considerations for a gym headphone.  When I am at home with my LCD and DAC/Amp stack, I am generally listening closely to my music, paying attention to the subtleties. Even when I'm passively listening, I expect and enjoy an accurate playback of the tracks I'm listening to. When I am exercising, my attention is on my exercise. Rather than listening to my usual musical tastes (indie, dreampop, classic rock, psych rock, etc.), my exercise music is very narrowly limited to upbeat Electronic music. I want a constant, loud, punchy beat to keep me lifting for my full one to two-hour workout. I am not examining the music for subtlety - I want volume, bass, treble that isn't grating, and that is about it. 

The SoundPeats are a relatively cheap pair of headphones. The sound quality is *okay*. Nothing to brag about, but not so god awful that I simply cannot listen to them. The battery life is solid, they are easy to charge, the controls are simple and accessible, they are relatively durable (my current pair has lasted over a year), the bluetooth connection is strong, and due to the low price I can afford to buy a backup pair in case my current pair breaks for some reason. 

As an aside: I don't like true wireless earbuds for exercise because the risk of losing one bud is higher than with just walking around the city. However, I totally get that many people find the wire on a wireless pair of headphones to be annoying - trust your gut on this.

Audio Technica IM70 I got many years ago before I got seriously into the hobby. Now paired with an ES100 for not being tethered to my phone. 

I was amazed by them back then, now they are just ok. Decent sound with EQ and good isolation without being too good. Perfect for the treadmill and weight machines.... wish I could go back to the gym since I lost all my gains and gained back a ton of weight sitting around in quarantine eating and drinking.

Have a JBL UA Train on ear set on order now because I found them for cheap. Sometimes I don't like the pounding from foot contact when I wear iems during exercise. The JBLs have washable pads and have pretty good reviews as a dedicated exercise choice.

 Out of the box, the earbuds showed 90% charge, so they're ready to use right away. Controls are easy to learn and much simpler than other brands. I own other ANC earbuds with adequate noise cancelling, but the ANC on these earbuds is many times better. In a loud car with wind nose, the nose level dropped so much it sounded like my car stalled and stopped moving

 Haven't heard noise cancelling so good since I tested a pair of Bose top-of-the-line over-the-ear headphones. These earbuds don't have features other brands offer, like customizable sound profiles (read: equalizer settings), but the sound is very clear, bass was punchy, mids and highs were very clear with no distortion or tinniness. (Is that a word? I mean to say it doesn't sound like it's being squeezed through a metal can.) Highly recommend them at regular price; currently it has a 20% off coupon which is an amazing savings given their low price
