 To get them out of the airflow and that's something we're seeing comment on a lot of high-end race bikes. These days, you get a tapered head tube out in front to increase the stiffness and all the cables and hoses are internally routed inside the fork and inside the frame which very nicely done. One detail in his bike, which I really like it's the external seat, clamp. So only s with model is internal and you get to it by the top tube there, but the external t clan chief, much easier to use, especially for the target customers like just having that ease of use

 So while if by it looks the same as the s works bike, my test light here a link to that review in the description below the main change. It'S a carbon fiber grade it used in the construction so like you same old, basically the same tube shapes and so on, but the carbon fiber is different and that's who keep the price down. So your bank balance is not a smash as badly, but there's slight increase in weight, so you're, looking at more like a kilo for the frame, rather than the 700 gram to the s-works version, but those small price to pay for all. Quite big saving on your bank balance and it's a really good looking frame and you've got some aero influence for the first time

 You get from such people like at beginning of last year, specialize totally updated the tarmac. This is now the sixth generation tarmac and to bike that goes right back to a turn-of-the-century and in that time has been a repopulation racing to sport. Eve'S, just a really good, versatile, lightweight performance focus bike, and this latest bike is also the best looking bike. In my opinion, but more than that, it's lighter stiffer better handling and that's also an aerodynamic influence

First Look - Specialized Tarmac Disc Sport

 I just wanted to do a follow-up video. I was on that trek checkpoint, a lr5, and if you watched my last video, I turned that thing in bought a new bike and I'm gon na show it to you right now. Right now, I just got to the top a bogus base in 20 miles 3,600 feet and here's the machine that got me up here. Alright, as I mentioned in my previous videos, I bought a gravel bike thinking

 This is bogus Basin, Boise, Idaho, still a little bit of snow, so anyways here she is power saddle. I love this out. It'S one of my favorite saddles. I'Ve tried

 I did one upgrade s-works turbo 28 C tubeless, so I went with two was 28 thought about 30 s. We couldn't find the tire I really liked, but these yeah, these specialized s works turbos are rad, so this is the weapon that got me up here, we're at see if we can get her to focus here. New Bike Day - 2020 Specialized Tarmac SL6 Sport Disc

 This bike is around four thousand dollars. Canadian. I know prices of bikes have gotten higher over the past few years, due to colvin and whatnot, and it's hard to get your hands on them, but for four thousand dollars, you're getting a really nice bike and for comparison from similar brands like giant you have the Tcr advanced two disc, which is thirty four hundred dollars, and you have the trek and monza sl5 uh disc, which is at 33 850. So those two options will be a bit cheaper compared to this one, but honestly out of the three they're all very similar performance wise, and it really depends on which one you prefer

 This bike does ride softer and i think that's because of the 26 millimeter tires, and i think these are running a bit lower psi um we're all off overall, first impressions. Oh this bike's, nice yeah handle is great corner, is great yeah. It'S a really good. All-Around bike: i feel it's a really good performing bike

 So i can get a more clear comparison about how this one compares this one so yeah, let's start off with the tcr and we'll go for a quick spin got squirt over here and let's go okay, so i'm gon na ride my t-star first all right. Let'S take the tarmac sl6 out for a spin [ Music ] wow. This thing corner is great um first impressions. This bike rides very similar to my tcr

 The more you ride, so that's great 105 mechanical shifting is nothing to scoff at it's a great group. So i expect that to perform wonderfully i've been spending a lot of time on electronic drivetrain.  I think that for for that amount of money, yes, you could find bikes with nicer components, probably an aluminum bike. For sure i mean you could get an allay or something like that with much nicer components for that much money, cannondale cad series, something like that uh, but the the ride quality of the tarmac frame is not to be scoffed at and it is it's a very. It'S a very nice bike for the money, there's always going to be a better deal, but i think whole package. Yes, it's probably worth third 200 bucks yeah

 Post, that's okay! This is a 2072 seat post. It looks like, and that's basically it's carbon as well, so that allows you still to get some of that compliance from flexing for and aft and the carbon itself will dampen some of that really high frequency, chatter, and notably as you've probably come to expect from tarmac Frames at this point you have the drop seat, stays and that again aids in sort of that four aft flex, so that you get a lot of compliance in the rear that is going to come in handy because, typically, tarmac frames are very stiff, which is to Your advantage, that means it steers very sharply. It means that you can really get stand out of the saddle and get lots of power transfer when you're, climbing or sprinting things like that. It does come with a nice host of specialized components, including this power saddle and an aluminum handlebar and stem, which is nice for adjustability at this price range

That should not be a surprise, as most riders are still trying to dial in their position. You may need to make some tweaks as you're riding figure out where your your cockpit belongs

2022 Specialized Tarmac SL6 review: Flagship performance, distilled

Also, Specialized have hiked their prices significantly in the last few years - I think several times. 

More or less the title. But I've been looking around and every bicycle I've found is at least 3-4x more than the blue book value. 

Closest I found to being near blue book value was a 2019 Specialised Allez Sport with 2K+ miles, but the owner wanted 1000 for it even though new it was 1000.

The bottom bracket on my Cervelo SLC-SL broke and left me pretty much with no options at this time…why didn’t it wait until the supply chain got back to normal levels?

Anyway, I have two bikes on order (I wouldn’t be hogging if I had been able to test ride them…I swear) a [Madone SL 6](https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/us/en_US/bikes/road-bikes/performance-road-bikes/madone/madone-sl/madone-sl-7/p/35179/) and a [Specialized Aethos Pro](https://www.specialized.com/us/en/aethos-pro---sram-force-etap-axs/p/199441?color=321745-199441).

Initially the Specialized Aethos was the only option which would get me riding before end of year, that’s why I had the hold on it but in the last couple of days I found a Madone SL7 coming in before end of year so I called dibs on it!

What are the thoughts on this? I was used to an aero so I imagine sticking with the aero stiff should be fine. Both are incredible machines and I don’t have much climbing here so I am leaning towards the Madone over the aethos.

Given that I’m on the hook for both and I don’t want to be an asshole to either shop, what are the thoughts on the decision I need to make?

Yes its my first entry level bike, however, i have relocated and seeing as all the bikes have bloody sold out where I live, I thought I would use this time and ride with what I have and save alot for a bike I want and to keep for a while.
