Then use the headset's Bluetooth function to connect to your Switch's Bluetooth adapter. You'll have audio from both sources in the same headset. I know you can also achieve this result with a 3.5mm cable and some tweaked windows settings, but that method doesn't seem to work for everyone and I find this method more seamless and more, well...wireless. It's easy to balance Switch/PC audio.

SteelSeries also claims this new model has the same 20 hours of battery life (which is a good thing, as it seems to charge slowly)..I never had an issue with the audio or microphone quality on the Arctis 9X

Wireless gaming headset suggestions

I replaced with Steelseries Arctis 9X. They sound great and can be used on xbox and bluetooth at the same time. Also has 3.5mm analog cable which was handy on planes and when my switch didn't support bluetooth.

What is the best headset. I know nothing about xbox- want to buy a Birthday gift for husband.

I have a turtle beach elite pro headset for Xbox and I love it. I tried to go wireless and had issues with the turtle beach stealth 600 and the SteelSeries - Arctis 9X having a clear connection so I would stay away from wireless.
