 Those weren't a good match for the Pinnacles at all largely due to the fact that the Pioneers used soft dome tweeters and more importantly were not tamber matched at all to the Prime Pinnacles. The reason I mention this is when I plugged the Prime Center and Bookshelf speakers up I was instantly floored at just how massive of an upgrade they were over the Pioneers. This wasn't just down to the tamber matching either. In listening closely to the Center channel, dialogue and effects were suddenly crystal clear and had impact when needed even in movies that have well-known issues with dialogue clarity such as Interstellar and The Dark Knight Rises

 I could actually make out Bane's voice much more clearly than ever before which is a big plus in my opinion. The Center was much harder to gauge in video games as many of them, like Call of Duty for example, don't use the Center channel at all and instead have everything being pumped through the left and right channels. However, checking out Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Immortals Phoenix Rising which do use the Center channel for dialogue, character movement, as well as other effects, the improvement in overall clarity and crispness was again an instant and massive upgrade. And since the Center is tamber matched to the Pinnacles, sounds that would pan across the front soundstage like a weapon swing for instance, sounded seamless and more like you were using three of the same speaker for the fronts instead of a different sized Center channel

 Base response is amazing as well, though in my case a bit too accentuated because I have them right up against the side walls. A little EQ reduced this overbearing bass and really made the speakers shine, as did crossing them over at 80Hz. I did also use the Prime bookshelves as my front left and right speakers and was honestly amazed at how big the sound was coming out of them. They legit sounded like speakers twice their size and actually give my Pioneer Tower speakers run for their money

Which type of system for my space? Premium Atmos soundbar or traditional?

 I was very happy with the JBL speaker but after purchasing an SVS subwoofer I was blown away by the performance and quality. I decided to see if their center speaker would be equally as exciting.  As professional reviews note, the SVS prime speaker is very "bright" and sometimes a little too much so. We are using this speaker specifically for a surround sound setup and during the first film I had to turn it down as it was way too "in your face" for my taste

 I was not aware that I was missing so much of this with the JBL and went back through the Transformers Age of Extinction to see what exactly was missed. This is a very good movie for setting up speakers as it was shot in Atmos and fully utilizes every speaker at every level. I found that there were many sounds that had gone unnoticed with the JBL and were very prominent with the SVS.  My family all commented that the SVS was much clearer and voices were more distinct than any other center speaker we've tried

Best time to buy.

 It handles movie dialogues very well and fills in the sound stage very well.  I would recommend these speakers (towers, center and satellites) very highly. I'm almost beginning to wonder if I should consider changing out the 15 year old Aeons for an SVS Ultra surround package.

 It is not the Martin Logan sound but very acceptable, nonetheless.  As to the Prime Center, it appears to be a real work horse. It handles movie dialogues very well and fills in the sound stage very well.  I would recommend these speakers (towers, center and satellites) very highly

A Finely Tuned Work Horse

Not sure I'd really want the Prime Bookshelves as my main front L/R speakers. They're just slightly under sized for what they are in that use case, at least I think so. &#x200B;. But also I'd try and sway you away from SVS for the speakers, for the money you're looking to spend here, you really should look at the Ascend Acoustics CMT340SE's and the center

Quite literally what the title says. I'm planning to have a center speaker aswell, but I'm not sure which road to take. 

Important thing to mention is that I'm planning this setup with music on the 1st place and home theater on 2nd place. Having in mind that price difference between bookshelves and towers is not important, what would you guys suggest, bookshelves or towers in this configuration?

I plan to have complete SVS setup with Denon AVR, most likely X3700H or X4700H. It's either SVS Prime Towers + SVS Prime Center + 2x SVS SB-1000 PRO or that exactly same setup but with SVS Prime Bookshelves.

 eq settings, I'm sure everyone would find a happy spot. Love the simple design and color, love the midrange and tweeter, and SVS seems like a quality company with great inspection on the quality of the their speakers. Glad I got it!

 Bluray movies sound better then the other center I've had, but of course this is the most I've spent on a center channel speaker so far, so. The others I've had only used silk dome tweeters, while I had my setup tweaked good, I found a lot of bluray movies now sometimes hit very high frequencies that I think the aluminum dome tweeter handles way better. Hey Everyone, I’ve been reading through posts here and doing my own research but I’m a beginner and would please like some feedback (posted on AVS forums too). My fiancé and I moved in together into the first floor apartment of the 3 family house we bought, and I left my sonos playbar at my parents apartment to go for a speaker setup. The dream is surround sound 5.1, but I want to start with 3.0 or 3.1 so I can afford better speakers. Our living room is small (8’6”L x 9’5”W whole, the couch and tv are off to the left at 7’4” wide, 7ft between us and TV wall). I will be going to Microcenter for the refurbished LG C1 65in, if the hours aren’t too high then I’ll get it and that saves us about $400. Then for the receiver I found a Denon 1910 on FB marketplace for $60 (or Yamaha RX573 for $75), for now I’ll do optical audio cable to TV and devices to TV HDMI then later upgrade to a receiver with 4K/120fps support (I play PS5).  So now speakers with a $1,000 budget. I chose to focus on LCR first, I want a sub but I know good ones are pricey (then again maybe there is a decent budget one for my small room). Towers are not fiancé approved, so it will be bookshelves that will be placed on wall mounted brackets, and a center horizontal tv stand (TV wall mounted). All prices are found from FB marketplace, eBay, Acc4Less, direct store, etc, I definitely like buying used to get better deals unless when used is just not an option.
