Our old favorite wins again: Its smooth, medium-hard, reversible teak surface provided plenty of room to work, was a pleasure to cut on, and required the least maintenance. It was light enough to lift comfortably (especially since it had finger grips on the sides) but heavy enough to be stable for most tasks, though a few users noted that it wobbled occasionally. It picked up some knife scars but was otherwise highly durable, resisting cracking, warping, and staining, thanks to naturally oily resins that helped condition the board. And it's a stunner: Sleek, elegant, and richly colored, it was, as one tester noted, “less like a Toyota and more like a Corvette.” One caveat: Because teak contains microscopic bits of silica, it can wear down blades faster than other types of wood. But in our opinion, this fact doesn't detract from this board's stellar performance.

Roomy, knife-friendly, and exceptionally durable, this teak slab was worth every penny. It resisted warping and cracking, showed only minor scratches, never seemed “thirsty,” and—despite its heft—was easy to lift and clean, thanks to handholds on each end.

So it not only is it thick enough to really suit any needs that you have regardless if you've chopping vegetables or big cuts of meat or whatever it might be, but it's a really, really good addition to any kitchen. really

 this one in particular the Teak House Pro from Protic has been really good for me so far. Very happy with it. One thing that's really important to understand when it comes to these chopping boards is that you need to look after them right? so you cannot wash these things in a dishwasher, which you shouldn't do with chopping boards anyway. And you got to make sure you look after with some mineral oil

Teakhaus Cutting Board Review (Americas Test Kitchen Winner ✅)

This board arrived super fast and is very heavy! Beautiful teak and looks like it was put together well. The reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 was, that it needed a few more passes through the planer. When you run your hand across the grain, you butt up against the seems of some of the strips (on both sides of the board), which wouldn’t be a big deal except, it doesn’t lay flat on the countertop…it wobbles. I didn’t return it as I happen to be handy with power tools and this is an easy fix, but in my opinion it absolutely warrants the removal of a couple of stars

Totally warped after only a few months. Won't sit flat.

 Never use harsh chemicals cleaning. Oil and clean. I use paper towels for this chore. Lasts life times
