 This cutting board is nice and large. Only issue is I was surprised that it shows considerable wear for only two holidays. I bought this off Americas test kitchen review but lately their reviewed items have been not great. Makes me think they have sold out and receive kickbacks on items they review

I purchased this cutting board for thanksgiving. I needed a cutting board that was large enough to carve a turkey and prime rib. This cutting board is nice and large. Only issue is I was surprised that it shows considerable wear for only two holidays

Not that tough

I opened the package Feb 12 & both top & bottom sides/surfaces are covered with rough, miniature, wood splinters sticking up, as if not properly sanded or finished before shipping. I followed instructions to apply mineral oil but splinters are still there, concerned the wood splinters will come off in any food - I need this for online culinary school and was looking forward to a high quality teak cutting board. Please help!

This is a very nice and well-finished cutting board. I really wanted to love it based on America's Test Kitchen recommendation. But it is far too heavy for us to use on a daily basis. Perhaps if there was a place where we could keep it permanently set up, but that's not how our kitchen functions

 I've already made use of it as a base for grinding in my molcajete (mortar and pestle).  I'm looking forward to cooking different cuisines from all around the world, so I hope to grow into it.  Overall, this product is not perfect, but it is definitely high-quality. I purchased it based on a very thorough review on "America's Test Kitchen"

 Cutting slightly higher actually goes a long way ergonomically for me. It's hard to quantify the value of that, but I think I'll be benefiting from that long-term. I've already made use of it as a base for grinding in my molcajete (mortar and pestle).  I'm looking forward to cooking different cuisines from all around the world, so I hope to grow into it

 I guess it indicates the block orientation (maybe this is important if you've been cutting garlic on one side and want to avoid cutting another ingredient in that area after moving the block). That's me stretching for an explanation. I would have been perfectly fine with a more consistent wood tone. Definitely not a deal-breaker for me, and I have a suspicion that oil will give it a better overall luster

First one arrived cracked in half. Second one is beautiful with a couple of issues.
