 Side sleepers are probably going to want to go with the softer version just so that you can sink in enough and actually get good pressure point relief in your shoulders enough so you don't toss and turn through the night. That being said, this mattress does have a number of great features in it starting right here at the top. The top panel in this system is made from an ultra high density yarn. This is woven super tightly together so the mix of those two things with it being super high density and so tightly woven is actually going to give it enough properties to draw heat away from your body and wick it away through the mattress

 That is a ventilated layer of the APR foam. This foam is a new foam that has come out just recently in this new line for the ProAdapt collection that has been a reworking of the original Tempur-Pedic formula to be one of the highest pressure relieving foams that they have in their arsenal today. The APR actually stands for Advanced Pressure Relief and that's exactly what it's going to do.  We are picky with sheets, so having to buy their sheets was not a guarantee. Well, maybe it’s our sheets, but the cooling to this point is not worth the added cost.

Before we get started, let me make one thing perfectly clear: this is ergonomically the best mattress I’ve ever slept on. I sleep soundly throughout the night and have no aches and pain unless I sleep awkwardly.  With that said, the biggest reason we chose this mattress was the cooling technology.  So if you like the Tempur-Pedic feel and are looking for a firmer feel, I would say that this is a good choice, but if you're looking for a hard feel and then want the Tempur-Pedic brand and feel, then I would say that you're probably going to want to look for something a little bit firmer than this one. That being said, where I am sinking in, I'm getting good pressure point relief and it is filling my lower back nicely so really no complaints for a back sleeper of my body type that likes a firmer feel with the Tempur-Pedic material beneath you and in addition to that I can feel the cooling properties of the mattress all the way through my jeans and the sweater even so if you like that cooling feature as you drift off to sleep, I would say that you'd definitely be able to feel this all the way through your sheets. Laying on my side, I would say that I would probably err on going towards the softer version of this mattress for a side sleeper of my body type. You can see that my head is pretty close to parallel to the surface of the mattress which is going to indicate proper spinal alignment, but I do have a touch of pressure in my shoulders that I didn't have on the softer version of this mattress so it might just come down to my personal build

 You might do okay with it if you have little narrower shoulders or carry more of your weight in your midsection or lower body, but just the way that I'm built I thought that it was a little too firm for my shoulder area, but you can definitely check out the soft version of this mattress if you are a side sleeper of my body type looking for a great night's sleep. That being said, if you are a stomach or back sleeper of my body type that likes all the features of this mattress is looking for that Tempur-Pedic feel but slightly on the firmer side then I would say that this would be a good choice.  I'm sitting on the side of the Tempur-Pedic Tempur Lux Breeze Firm 8 degrees cooler mattress. So even though this mattress doesn't have an edge support in the components listed out below on the webpage here, if you put all your weight on the edge you're still really getting good support here and it's a good seating edge so if you want to put your socks and shoes on on the side of the mattress or just know you can sleep all the way up to the side of the mattress and getting good support or just make it easier to get in or out of bed, this mattress has a solid edge support. Something on my back, I would say that this mattress is definitely the firmest of the Breeze collection from Tempur-Pedic this year, but I wouldn't describe it as outright hard. I'm still sinking into the mattress a decent amount in my hips and shoulders, it's filling my lower back nicely

 So really a good job here from Tempur-Pedic despite not calling out an edge support, creating a very supportive mattress all the way up to the edge. Lying on my back, I would say that this mattress does have a soft feel for the traditional Tempur-Pedic feel as well. So I'm sinking in a decent amount and it's kind of cradling me as the typical memory foam feel is as I sit or lay here for a little bit longer, my body heat is kind of warming up the foam and letting it contour more to the curves of my body, so it does have that kind of soft and enveloping feel that you're typically finding from a memory foam and this Tempur-Pedic foam is kind of different in just that it is like more dense and just more substantial feel but overall I feel like my hips are sinking in a little bit more than my shoulders but getting good support everywhere and really no pressure points either. So really if you like the softer feel of a Tempur-Pedic and you're looking for that cooling story and you're a back sleeper of my body type looking for a softer feel from the Tempur-Pedic line here, I think this would be a good choice

 So if you are wearing pajamas or even if you just have the sheet between you and the mattress, you're definitely going to get that cooling story from the mattress. That being said, if you are a back or a side sleeper of my body type that likes that Tempur-Pedic feel and likes a softer feel, I think that you would do well here on the Tempur Lux Breeze Soft.  Lying on my side, I would say that this would be a pretty good choice for a side sleeper of my body type as well. You can see that my head is parallel with the surface of the mattress which is a good indication of proper spinal alignment and beyond that I feel like my hips and shoulders are in good position, like I'm not getting any pressure points there. So that's really the main X-Factor after checking to see if there is any issue with spinal alignment, any pressure points and this mattress definitely passes that test, there's no pressure points and beyond that I feel like my midsection is supported well. So if you're a side sleeper of my body type and you're looking for that 8 degrees cooler story, I think this is a pretty good choice

You’re not alone, I had both the LuxeBreeze firm and soft and I hated them both. I liked the ProAdapt Medium Hybrid for two months then it stopped being supportive. I’ve completely sworn off Tempur-Pedic.

I've slept 3 nights on a king size Luxebreeze firm. I know it takes some time to break in, but the first night I woke up with the sheets wet with sweat despite this supposed to be the coolest mattress. I had the AC cranked and my old mattress, albeit warm, didn't have these issues often. Bad omen for night one. 

It's SO firm. I've walked on it. Crawled on it. I know it's night 3, but I am a back sleeper and it's just not comfy. My dog, who usually sleeps with me, jumps off to go to his bed. He doesn't even like it. 

They recommend 30 days, but at this point I paid $7k for this thing and I'm anxious that this has been a mistake. I haven't gotten a good night's sleep yet on this, I can't imagine how this is going to do a 180 and justify the price. 

There's a Duxiana down the road, debating just getting one of those.

The frame came in one piece, they screwed six legs on underneath there, and it's got like hydraulics basically that lift it up and it comes with this little remote, it says ease, and it is a little darker in here if you notice, it's about eight o'clock at night and they just got here. So the head right now, it's sitting firmly on the mattress there and I'm trying to back up to get a full view of this but it's got a couple of settings and I need someone to sit on this bed so I'll hold up, I'll get my daughter, maybe she'll come in and help demonstrate this.
