As for #4, all of these dash cams have mics, so recording sound is possible with all of them. If I were you and looking into Thinkware, I'd recommend you going for the Q1000 as it's the upgraded version of the Q800PRO. In our opinion, GPS is really important as you want location, time, speed and date data in your dash cam footage, something that insurance companies always want to see when they're verifying your footage.

It also seems like the Q1000 might have a longer supported life since it's fairly new but the U1000 has been out for three years. On it's own, the Q1000 dual-camera kit is $$430, so less than the U1000-dual on its own, but the radar module is $90 (it's the same module for both cameras) if I wanted to go that route it would be $30 more for the Q. The other thing is that the cloud services are different.

Depending on your model, you can consider the low budget (Thinkware F200 PRO), the mid budget (Thinkware Q1000) or the high end (Thinkware U1000). The Thinkware Q1000 is the latest model from Thinkware to come out, so for the latest features, you'll find it with that dash cam.
